Again, Foley is regarded as a 10/15.

    Brumbies 2012

Shouldn't the players have seen this and ran for the hills?

    Waratahs 2012

You better be legit, I'd prefer to watch a youngen whinge than last year's character.

Hold the phone. Hodgson may not be a Test blindside or number 8, but he's still effective in both of those positions at the Super level. Furthermore, he's a vital part of a backrow that works well as a unit, which I imagine would be one of the main things that keeps Brown, Pocock, and Hodgson...

    Waratahs 2012

Whoa whoa, we're both winners: we're Tahs fans! ;)

    Waratahs 2012

Isn't that why Foley was drafted into the squad?

    Brumbies 2012

    Well he didn't fly QANTAS...

    Blind-Blindside

I get the feeling he was unfit, but also carrying some undisclosed injuries. Often when players appear out of form, they're carrying injuries not severe enough to miss game time but severe enough to affect the way they play.

Here's hoping Douglas shakes off the poor form that saw him dropped and moved last year. Would I be right in saying that his 2011 season was a case of "second year syndrome"?

    Blind-Blindside

Beat me to it, LG. But Gnostic is sort of right, he's not technically a blindside, I just saw the 6 attributes in his style of play in the finals.

Must be hard to type with the keyboard covered in all the drool over Tapuai.

    Blind-Blindside

I'll concede that he was in pretty good form (excellent a bridge too far).

    Blind-Blindside

When was the last time the Wallabies fielded a side that featured a 6 that really put the fear of God into opposition sides? For a while, the Wallabies have had Openside flankers that are "World class", guys who can change the game on their own. But I struggle to remember the last blindside...

    Sonny Bill

Right you are, didn't eat enough brain pie obviously. How about... Hosea Gear will get the good conditions I alluded to earlier.

    Sonny Bill

And SBW will get good conditions to play in; Forsyth-Barr Stadium is looking pretty schmick!

    Oxymoron ;)

I don't think you'd lose anything with Kepu/Moore/Slipper, in the scrum or around the field.

    2011 Spring Tour

I think Ben Alexander gets a harsh rap around here. He was part of the successful 2009 Wallaby scrum, but his collapsing has been a real blight on the pack at times. It's his work around the field that I think is underrated. I'm not sure on the stats, but I see Alexander as one of the more...

Cooper - Good or Great rugby player - discuss.

Did anyone else get the feeling that Cooper's knee injury was inevitable? He's a tremendous athlete, but his footwork is based around massive deceleration. This isn't a criticism of Cooper as a player or even his style of footwork, just wondering if anyone else got the feeling watching him...

Ryan Jones should start over Thompson IMO.
