looks like an extension of the problems scholarships bring to the schoolboy comp. I see AIC schools have cut ties with GPS over poaching concerns.

QLD has become a real production line of late, but the management/signing/retention of young 10s is an issue the Reds are yet to master

Post RWC it will be players like Flook and Henry that we will be relying on to replace the likes of Stewart, Paisami etc who may be tempted by an overseas stint. I think the pair of them have plenty to offer the Reds. I dont know much about Lawson as a 10, having only seen him as wing fill in...

gotta keep SCG Trust happy until the new SFS comes online. hopefully the new stadium gives the Tahs a crowd boost when its operational. Loved finishing work in the city on a friday and doing a little pub crawl over to the stadium (early 2000s). gets a great vibe. cant help but think a new...

I've often wonder how he has been after losing his father. I dread the day I lose one of my elderly parents, but to lose a parent so young must be an altogether other experience.

The QLD system hasn't feed a lot of back 3 talent into the Reds recently - not like 9, 12/13, and forwards. Flook, Creighton etc are all helping out but were recruited as midfield or inside backs. even Petaia was a 13. we must be due for cracking good 15 to come through. same for the wings.

and step to the side a bit to avoid hitting him front on and you get pinged for side entry.

    Wallabies 2023

Unfortunately for the Reds, Stewart is hitting his prime as a valuable overseas signing for a euro or japanese club. he's a proven professional rugby player, with plenty of Super Rugby experience, who is not being looked at by national selectors. (i'm not here promoting the rumour brought up on the Reds...

totally agree - we have a great nursery of talent. the fact we went neck and neck with the brumbies shows how good our young talent and that its worth persisting with our strategy. at hooker, prop and lock we are running a very young inexperienced team (except tupou and blyth). but nasser...

The standard of ruck work in Europe v Aus/NZ is stark. Up north they are staying on their feet and driving through. Aus and NZ rucks are largely operating at below hip level. Northern refs will judge our teams very differently. Tupou needs to stop these low level clear outs where the main...

    Proposed Nations Championship

however we have had ALOT of B teams sent down here over the decades. at least with this model every test earns points and unions would be more likely to send top teams. when i lived in London i loved Nov rugby test season... so many different match ups all played in a 3 week window. great...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

yeah these schools offer the full range - afl term 1, union and soccer term 2, league term 3. afl and league have limited teams - basically only an A and B team. whereas with union and soccer they create as many teams as possible from the kids interested. league is only in its third year...

    Super Rugby 2022

qld is a good chance to be under lockdowns and masks by feb i reckon. just yesterday three flights into the state got listed as exposure sites. its coming for sure. NSW back up to 800 new cases and Vic has rarely seen under 1000 per day. Revised Super Rugby draw due out soon apparently.
