    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

How about assistant refs standing on the offside line and communicating it to ref on field? Don't really see it being that difficult to police, just think WR (World Rugby) have decided to ignore it to ensure a free flowing game. Saw a forward pass in the dying minutes from an ABs player with Poite running...

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

The one advantage of living in an non rugby nation is getting the neutral broadcast from World Rugby, breathe of fresh air for every match. Sean Maloney did a cracking job again today leading the commentary team.

I am mostly referring to Castle and Johnson with those comments. As for the inner workings of the RA board I would have no idea what they do, probably similar to the cricket australia board (Which is travel around a lot and eat long lunches.) There is some classic stories of the CA execs...

In addition they had an external review last year which was the reason Johnson and selection panel were implemented. I don't see the point of having an external review less than 12 months later. I think doing an internal review of RWC performance is fine and something that should be done at end...

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

Interesting that they didn't strengthen the line out with Kruis after NZ selected Barret. Thought english line out was poor against the Wobs. So Ford back in, big call but think Ireland showed that you need to be very good at tactical kicking with Beauden Barrett at FB. Any rubbishy kick down...

RWC 2019 SF2: SA vs Wales

That bench though, reckon it is nearly stronger than the guys running on. Wales would want to be a try or two up at half time to stand a chance.

That will hurt the home nations and South Africa far too much to fly. Tests are still a huge bread winner for RFU etc.

South Africa have both their 9 & 10 playing in Europe and it seems not so bad. The problem is if you change the rules all the time and guys returning on short term deals etc. that leads to changes. If you have a consistent rule from say now and that it won't be reviewed until after next RWC then...

Domestic Australian Caps could come into it, minimum Super Rugby + NRC Caps perhaps? At least something to show you've done your time in Australian rugby. On the other hand you have guys like Brock James that couldn't get a gig in Australian domestic rugby and turned out to be a handy pro...

    Wallabies 2020

This was from the SMH a few days where they interviewed Castle about selecting the next coach. She also re-affirmed the 60-Test Giteau Law would be reviewed, potentially paving the way for Australian players to be called up for national honours from anywhere in the world, regardless of their...

I totally agree, just unfortunately that means Kuridrani will be left out in the cold as he doesn't fit a bench spot that well. So against Fiji next July we are likely lining up: White 9, To'omua 10, Koroibete 11, JOC (James O'Connor) 12 , Petaia 13, Hodge 14, Beale 15. Bench: Powell, DHP, TBC (someone that...

It may be crazy but is there an option for having Petaia at 12 and Kuridrani at 13?

Have not see many top 14 games this year but Gill is doing alright. Rugby Pass has very good stats for European comps, can see Gill's here: https://www.rugbypass.com/top-14/teams/lyon/players/liam-gill/

RWC 2019 SF2: SA vs Wales

Are SA going to make any changes to their starting line up? Their Backline was out of sorts against Japan, do they have a replacement for LeRoux and/or Lukhanyo Am?

Believe the decision will be made just before Christmas, right around the Folau court case probably. Be nice with the rugby media focused on something else than that sh*t show.

Definitely agree, think I was more hoping to show that we don't really have a realistic Australian coach that has a recent history of success unless I'm forgetting someone that is coaching overseas currently.

RWC 2019 1/4 Final Wales vs France

Vahaamahina retired now after the elbow incident at 28, apparently planned but a sad way to end your international career.

I think it will depend on his contract with Glasgow (buy out clause/leaving for a bigger job) and if RA are willing to buy him out of it. Glasgow's season finishes end of May so realistically he can join the playing group in early June were he to see out the season with the Warriors. However...

I don't think anyone can doubt Cheika's intelligence as he has been succesful both in his rugby coaching career and business career. However he does remind me more and more of Jose Mourinho of football fame, immediate effect on playing group by changing it up a little and motivating the team but...

I think Rennie is maybe not getting the credit he deserves. He took the Chiefs from 10th to 1st in his first year then proved it wasn't a fluke by going back to back. It is true that he got in some key players like Cruden, SBW and Retallick but its one thing getting the players and another thing...
