    Bledisloe II @ Eden Park

If Wallabies beat the All Blacks by even a small margin on Saturday they will drop to 4th and the top 3 will be Wales, Ireland England. Not sure I can handle the Northern Hemisphere journalists gloating (until they all get smoked at the WC).

According to that system Argentina who lost to the All Blacks by 4 points in NZ are worse than Japan and Fiji. Its a bit of a joke really. System dictates that its better to just not play and then when you do play the USA and Canada to accrue points.

    Bledisloe II @ Eden Park

I do hope we play the same starting 15 this weekend but with Pocock on bench instead of Jones. Think with a potentially tough must win match first up against Fiji and my expectation that we field a 2nd XV against Samoa then its important to check that it wasn't a fluke last week and these guys...

I think the weight limits are only valid until U13s from what I could find online for Auckland Rugby (http://www.aucklandrugby.co.nz/Junior-1/Junior-AgeGrade-Weight-Chart) . After that I assume is open, so it wouldn't affect the higher/open age groups or 1st XV rugby. Seems like a decent way to...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I think NZ combated this years ago by introducing weight limits for underage rugby, which can be important especially amongst teens who may have growth spurts earlier than others. I remember a family friend was billeted with Jason Jenkins (current Bulls Lock) when they were both 15 and he was...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Maybe thats the problem, I don't think schools can be pushed to teach anything but the standard set of skills due to lack of resources until 1st XV level. Think the onus for development has to be at the foot of the state/regions when they select their U13, U14, etc. groups should be adding an...

Hell I hope not, I get the feeling with Larkham he is just too good a rugby player to be a good coach. Teaches tactics and plays that if our back line was 7 Larkhams they would have no problem doing but as they are not it probably just frustrates the players and him. Think its the same in all...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Think I wouldn't read too much into U20 rugby, for sure its a place to promote young guys to learn the stepping stones to test rugby. However we shouldn't push them to win at all costs rather learn the basics and also instill a good culture/team work in them from a young age. Our best finish was...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Isn't the comedic value here that our starting test 10 (To'omua) will likely be playing 12 in Super Rugby? With a potential combo of Genia, Cooper & To'omua if they fire and Rebels impress next year that could actually be a very good thing for Australian rugby. At least put pressure on Foley/Beale.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I wonder if they are speaking to Schmidt's people to see how long he is planning to take off for family time post RWC next year? Perhaps getting someone like White for 2 years is a good option with a succession plan in place?

    Australia v England

Agree, when more than a try down should try to get the 7 points, however the problem is that a captain will always second guess himself when he can't 100% rely on the set piece. I find it an interesting coincidence that we have gone downhill essentially at the same time that our forwards coach...

    Australia v England

Hard game to swallow as at the end of the first half thought we could win it but the non-yellow card was just the start of a quick downhill trend. Agree with all said here, the useless centre field kicking or piss poor up & under attempts after 5 phases just kills me every time. Especially...

    Australia v England

I'm sure thats the case but Twickenham sits another 35 000 compared to Mendoza and tickets are probably a lot dearer (starting around 40 pounds) than in Argentina (unsure of cost).

    Australia v England

They love their Rugby in London, I think Argentina were keen to play some of their Rugby Championship games there as there would be higher attendance at Twickenham and in turn get more cash. Went to Australia vs Barbarians at Twickenham back in 2011 and think there was 40 000 +

    Australia v England

For this game wouldn't mind a back line of: 10 Foley 11 Folau 12 To'omua 13 Kerevi 14 DHP 15 Beale With Koroibete, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Gordon on the bench. Don't have much hope as I think realistically we will line up the same as we did against Wales and likely suffer the same result.

England v Australia, Saturday 3 December

Yep looking at rankings now and assuming that Ireland and England have a strong 6 Nations you would expect that we will be 4th. However the scary thing is having Argentina in pot 3 which would mean likely there is a pool of death in Japan with potentially Japan in good form with the home world...

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

BBC saying they have brought O'Mahony and Scannell in as cover. Guess this could end up being a test of Irish depth.

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

Not totally surprising with Mumm although would prefer Timani. Had hoped Morahan would have gotten a start on the wing or on the bench but obviously they have high hopes in Speight so I hope he returns the favour. Hopefully he takes some inspiration from the French wingers last week. Haven't...

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

A win is a win I guess. Very scrappy affair and I don't hold much hope for the Frenchies come 6 Nations time. Also I thought Jackson was just as shambolic as both France and Australia. Strange non consistent calling especially around the ruck and maul. Also he called the 1st line out from the...

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

The 1 from France was pulling AAA down in that first set of that last scrum so obviously. Think Cheika needs to give them a rev up, if we can lift our intensity in the 2nd half we should win this one. France look clueless under pressure.
