    QLD GPS Rugby 2019

Who cares? Every year around this time some kids like you from the 4th XV or the 16c’s get on here to troll around. No one cares mate. Parents usually don’t even turn up to watch.

I dunno, they play with heart and skill but bottom 3 this year I think.

More high score one-way games predicted for next week. May need a mercy rule such is the two tiered nature of the comp this year. NC vs GT BBC vs BGS TSS vs BSHS IGS vs TGS I expect Churchie will be kind of glad to have the weekend off. 101 points against in two games has got to suck. State...

A shame that the Ipswich-BGS game won't be streamed this weekend. Given a choice I think most people would prefer that than Downlands vs TGS. Still, love your work Doubletake !

GPS 2019, danger games for most teams every game (a big part of why I enjoy it), especially only at round 2. You would think BBC should account for GT, but its the hardest game for me to pick this week. BBC looked great in open play and at the breakdowns but their scrum was pushed around a bit...

I agree, I think especially at A team levels, going into the game that way, and if it is done cynically. However I can see it from the point of view of a team that is playing a monster front row (think about 100kg+ Polynesian 13 year olds packing down against a much smaller front row) Sometimes...

I think probably a bit of both. Churchie may struggle this year despite their best efforts. BBC look good again this year, and should be top 4. Nudgee and TSS still look like more complete packages and, like other posters have said Ippy are looking a wee bit scary. Still only one round down, but...

Yeh.. my picks were not based on much more than home ground advantage this round. However, having watched all the games from my couch in Seattle, I think my next round might go better than 1 out of 4. ACGS vs TSS: TSS by 40 GT vs BBC: BBC by 40 BSHS vs NC: NC by 40 BGS vs IGS: IGS by 40

The set-piece battle today was not the colleges strong point. Credit to the Churchie forwards. They will need to work on the scrum and lineout as they will come up against stronger packs.

Ipswich might have the beef needed to beat them. They have been a bogey team for TSS before.

Hopefully this doesn’t continue up the age groups. Wouldn’t want to turn into the AGPS. What a confusing yet boring mess.
