Have it on good advice that Terrace are skating very close to the " Headmasters Agreement" by making offers to the younger brothers of 2 BBC boys who are RL rep players and will now play under 13 at GT this year when their brothers are in under 15 and open at BBC. I assume BBC could not/ would...

Yes I got a laugh when he waved to the crowd in the middle of a big run down the sideline..Lets hope they do not try and rein in his enthusiasm.

"Eventually you will have multiple scholarship boys playing in the 2nds in the GPS comp. :" This has been happening for years now. Calvin Pritchard (Aussie schools 2014) played in Nudgee 2nds last year.As did Chris veravis for BBC(but a lot of that had to do with coaching clashes)

Apart from the well documented changes at BBC & BGS -are there any other coaching changes. Who is coaching NC now Drahm has gone.? Surely IGS have made changes. Is Tom B still head of recruitment at Terrace or back into coaching again ?

TSS boys told me today that Ben Gunter BBC number 8 in 2014/5 has been offered a contact for Toyota in Japan coached by Robbie Deans. Anyone from BBC confirm? If so,Aussie Schoolboy selectors take note. 2015 Aussie Schools back row were too small. They needed Gunter or Emere from TSS

Correct and there are waiting lists at most GPS schools. And dont go on about OP scores.Who were the top 5 schools this year??. In short any sporting scholarships(like in NSW) have helped the GPS schools in a number of respects. Mr Moderator -I will move this to the scholarship thread.

Was down at TSS gym yesterday. My discussions indicate that most at TSS agree with this summary except that: 1) BBC will have young, smaller 6,7 & 8. If their 4 or 5 get injured they lack depth. But they will have a shit hot backline.; 2) NC will be better than expected; 3) TGS will be...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Looks like an interesting year this year, with BBC and TSS the frontrunners. BBC with Ikatu (Aus Schools) and Simpson (Qld Schools) returning for another year of grade 12 should really bolster their team. NC may be a bit off the mark this year with the majority of their 2015 team leaving...

agree with you . A lot depends on injuries.Ikatu and Simpson had great national series but poor old Ben played half a game total in GPS and Len played two( and was clearly injured in both)

All true Mr King but there are not many of us that think like this . I hear Terrace are about to find this out- and from some pretty powerful parents. TSS went through this drama in mid 2000 s - so if you come here now you know what to expect from grade 10 onwards. I am all for it because as we...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Welcome back Mr King. 2 boys my nephew at TSS told me to watch this year are from BBC. Len Ikatu (Aussie A centre) and Ben Simson (qld 2 wing.) He says they only played 2 GPS matches between them last year because of injury and no one at TSS could believe Simpson was not in Aussie Schools...

We can all expect the usual influx of 17 year old RL boys from Nth NSW to turn up in" grade 11 "at TSS-so need to wait for that dust to settle. Yes- you can expect one or 2 from Ballina/Lismore to turn up. Good to see 2 TSS old boys as captain and VC of Reds. Quite a few TSS supporters get a...
