The rule is that to play in First xv ( or any First team) if you are on any form of scholarship you must be : 1) grade 11 or below; 2) at school day 1 of that year. The rule is very easy to get around as ACGS did in 2013 with an Aussie schools prop who started game 2 that year. All it takes is a...

The TSS under 15 & 16 As (as per usual) will be vastly different from last year and much stronger. Quite a few new boys from Nthn NSW.(surprise ,surprise)

would have to agree. Watching BBC put 65 points on Ashgrove last year was like boys v men. And that was a week before Ashgroves 1st match and a whole term before BBC started training! And BBC only came 3rd!!And then GPS 1 beats AIC 1 by 55 at qld trials before the GPS season started. Size is main...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Yes GT do talk more. Also I see from this thread that they are the only ones to refer to boys by name and analyse there strengths & weaknesses-see the discussion on the poor boy who lost weight by rowing. Come on-they are schoolboys .

If what I am hearing is correct-reputations mean nothing up at BBC at the moment. Some big -name rep players from 2015 are in the dog -house. Could they be creating a culture-surely not.! But then again (glass houses) the same could be be said about TSS up until 2002(thank god for centenary...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Yes but having Rep players does not always equate to s premiership . Look what the Nationals did to BBC and TSS in terms of injuries last year and those 2 schools had the most Rep players

The HM agreement is : 1) if on scholarship must be at school day 1 grade 11 to play 1st xv (easy to get around if fees are paid by a benefactor -as in ACGS 2014 rumour); 2) if any boy of any age- is on scholarship and wants to discuss a move to another AIC/GPS school where they will be on a...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Correct. Can I say then "inconsistent" away from home. But then how do you explain getting pumped/thrashed by GT away from home last year? ? and the year before that very inconsistent away from home.

Good call. TGS do not travel all that well and play TSS and BBC away. But any team that plays them up the mountain will be shittin themselves.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2016

Yes -I know all that BUT: 1) we have a great draw with BBC(old boys day) & TGS at home ; 2) A great record at Ross oval; 3) A lot of experience and boys back+ a premiership 16 A team last year. 4) a few new surprises Not a bad recipe.

To early yet- but with 7 back plus new number 8'-even my mate the cricket coach at TSS is confident . By this I mean 7 players back from last year plus a new number 8 .

To early yet- but with 7 back plus new number 8'-even my mate the cricket coach at TSS is confident . Will know after round 2 where we play BBC at home on old boys day. Not sure our backline will match NC or BBC but our forwards will up to it.good depth this year.

Plenty down at TSS think BBC are the big danger. But if they have as many injuries as last year they will fall again. Are the ovals too hard at Toowong or what? Ridiculous number of injuries in last 3 years including now rep players like Conrad Quick,Lolo Fakilosea, and last year I think 4 rep...
