had a peek at the 15A match today after reading all the posts about this brilliant BBC backline . yes they won but only seemed to do what they had to . 40 point turnaround from last years 14 A match . I agree that rest the comp has caught them or they had players out .

Massive day down here at TSS for old boys day. Took me hours to find a park . BBC took a clean sweep for under 12 to under 15 . Some big blowouts in lower grades. TSS took a clean sweep of under 16 and open. In first xv BBC outscored TSS 3 tries to 2 but TSS kicker was 4 out 4 including 1 from...

Well the last time I looked BBC was the only school in Australian history to have at the one time in the one year the Wallabies Captain (Horwill) and Vice Captain (Genia) and the Aussie Schools coach.

IGS has had 1 under 16 team for last 3 years,. Also BSHS only had 2 under 16 teams for part of last year if I recall. .

Some very interesting results in 16 A s TGS beat NC and ACGS beat GT. Who would have picked that from 15 A matches last year?

Beating TGS up on the hill without Malala . Now i am worried . That is impressive . And It is a young NC team.

I have to agree with you about BBC. TSS see round 3 against them as a big big match- naming it old boys' day. Nephew at BBC says one of their Rep players is out for the year?Any one know about that? Also WTF is The PNG prop Yunopa? doing in the 2nds- is he coming back from injury? I agree with...

My understanding from my mate who has a son at BBC is that they have: -a whole new coaching set up (including former Wallabies S&C); -6 or 7 back from side that finished 3rd in 2015; -plus the new 5 from Melbourne Rebels;and -The cousin of Aussie schoolboy sensation - Jadyn Ngamanu -at 15. But...

    1) BSHS won 2 nds on weekend as well. Look out -they now have depth; 2) does trial form mean anything: -last year ACGS lost all 5 trials; -This year TSS put 7 tries on TGS in the trial.

The Kiwis have beaten us every year since they changed their selection policy: they now pick the best ,not just year 12.

Asides from McReight, I can't think of a single forward from Queensland who I'd like to see in the Australian Schoolboys. Mavoa on the bench might be my next favourite, but overall a pretty weak class of forwards. I hear Isaac Lucas had a fair crack, and that Eadie scored a good try...

Churchie have brought in a new prop and loose forward for added size (correct me if I am wrong here) You are correct. The lock is from Mackay and the prop is related to Tomeki from Keebra High in Qld 1.

I think if BSHS will have injuries they will not have the depth.Otherwise I agree with what you say. TSS have the most back with 2 new boys. I have them as my favourites. The 5 at BBC at 203cm will be the biggest kid in the comp.Is he injured? or was he barred from rep sides after signing with...

QLD Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2016

Certainly not the biggest Qld teams ever selected- and probably the fewest number of returning Aussie selected boys returning.only 1 and he has played only half a game . No big boppers like Luka, swain ,Vui , Hocking as in years gone by .Locks in particular lack size
