Naivalu is more of a winger and Kamana is more of a fullback. Usually positions listed on online profiles should be taken lightly.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Plenty of teams are running a 2nd fullback in a blind winger role nowadays. He'd do allllright.

Hopefully someone knows, though it wouldn't surprise me if they sort of just see where he fits.

Are they looking at him as a 13?

I believe I said "most of", I know of two of the featured boys who have been selected but I also know of one guy who wasn't covered who has been selected. I don't want to get anyone in trouble though.

Cutting the bullshit, how does Dale actually go? Boys I know that have been up against him say he's strong but I've never noticed him on the odd occasion I see Quins play.

    Melbourne Rising 2014

All the club boys who have made it have known since Monday. They're not meant to say anything, but naturally there's rumours about. Most of the boys with feature articles should make it. To the guys talking about this comp as a step up for club boys, not a step down but Super Ruggers boys...

    Rebels 2015

I think the Rebels (and by extension the ARU) signed him on the basis of the NRC being his opportunity. So if that's the case (and it's just speculation), would it really be that much of a dick move?

    Rebels 2015

It's possible if the ARU make him play the NRC, given he's not of Wallaby ilk, that Bayonne might have seen it as sufficient to tear up his contract which was already a bit of a risk anyway. It's different to a brand name player like Timani.

Tell me more about coach Melrose, I don't know much about him and it sounds like you do.

    Reds 2015

If they clear house and pick 30% of the squad as new local talent next year it won't be the worst thing in the world. The Brumbies clearing house 2-3 years ago catalysed better performances and it would for the Reds too, you don't need to sign rockstars.

That's a good question regarding Placid, I don't think he was contracted this year. Hmm, vague.

    Reds 2015

I think the issue is taking other cultures' naming process and trying to fit within the western one. That's why we have plenty of people who in 2014 are still named after the place or job of their great great great grandparents. It's not a big deal but it's a laugh sometimes.

He would have been, he has a strong connection to the Australian Fijian community who have their largest base in Qld too. Could've been a good one.

    Wallaby Watch 2014

There's actually usually 4 or 5 guys unofficially training with the Wallaby squad whenever they're Sydney or Brisbane based. Can't see why he couldn't be one of those.

    Melbourne Rising 2014

Pillow talk isn't always gospel. In all seriousness isn't the Rising squad announced today? I would have no issue with any Rebels who have played for a local club in Syd or Bris in the last year or two going home (thus having plenty of couches, or better, to crash on) regardless of if we're...
