    NSW Invitational U16 Tournament 2014

You might flap your gums at the Schools selection process, but it was no way as flawed as the SJRU process - that was a good joke! Never cheered louder than when the discards beat the first pick, and then the sweet feeling when SJRU fell to country, and then total ignominy when they almost...

Thanks - I'm guessing that the rumours you have heard have been aired in this thread and are generally unflattering to Link & Di? I think we are all pissed off that the chatter is on stuff other than how well the game is being played.

    Refereeing decisions

Agree - BUT - if the ball was already "behind" the 22 - play on

If link stays - it will be with an ARU goon as an overseer. The other key players (Di & KB (Kurtley Beale)) are toast. Pulver / the ARU must take ownership & control of the situation and operate beyond the typical vested interests.

Has anyone got any insight as to how the left handed banjo players (ie Queenslanders) are seeing this? Both within & without the team? Are they painting this as a NSW beat up north of the Tweed? Silence up there should be seen as tacit agreement.
  6. Man on the hill

    NSW Invitational U16 Tournament 2014

It's really clear - if you want the best team, your process has to be sufficiently"tight" so that it provides opportunity for all and transparency in the decision making. BUT (& it's a huge but) - the process also needs to be sufficiently flexible so that talent is not bypassed or omitted due...

You left out the bit about forcing a change in Video Analyst so he could engage his QRU video guy.

so at the risk of sounding like Sir Humphrey Appleby, why in the name of all that is holy, did they call in the integrity officer? The credibility of the ARU is already wobbly. @ TWAS & @ Forcefield both have strong arguments, but change is required. The solution - a new structure for the...

from the whiffs of "news" and "fact" coming out on this, Link would not survive a public enquiry / mediocre scrutiny - my mail is that he has lost the respect & trust of the senior players - he can talk the talk, but has recently failed the walking the walk test. The words nepotism & patronage...

All well & good - please make an effort to let him know that his efforts are appreciated and applauded by a wider audience than just the boys who benefited directly. MOTH

& somehow he needs to be recognised & applauded in the broader rugby community - especially if he doesn't have a child involved - fairly rare & remarkable.

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Terrific attitude displayed in that one. There’s just not enough money on the planet to fund the sort of organisation you need to satisfy the every opinion is valid model. Consider this – 370 or so competition teams in U10s – opens. Each team will have between 12 and 23+ players – let’s be...

    NSW Invitational U16 Tournament 2014

Sad that no one has stood up to congratulate whichever person was responsible for getting the trash heap XV a gig in the tournament, or who maybe owned the idea. I expect that the motivation may have been motivated by "revenge", but none the less, the outcomes might stand as a reminder to what...

Fair call - but I stand by my comments vis his "formal" change of roles & titles The issue is the veil of secrecy & ploitial intrigue that engulfs all things Rugby in NSW - whether its ARU (HQ'd in St Leonards), or NSWRU, or any of the other minion unions.

IS - doubling up would mean what then?

Would hardly call GM NSW Community Rugby as a part time development officer. My oil is that ARU / NSWRU needed to move him for "political" reasons - apparently he was actually standing up for the grass roots of the game.
