That proposition would be more reasonable if there were 12 spots, if there are 8 spots its definitely not going to happen. (I don't think there will be more than 8 initially). 10 spots they would have to go to figuring out what would be the most commercially viable place from those who bid...

opposed to usyd which blocks out anyone who didn't go to usyd, and takes one of the limited franchise spots with them? There are 3 franchises allocated for sydney lets say. You include USyd, which region are you going to not give a team? The region with all the juniors, the region rugby's...

he may have changed his mind since then though, its been five years or so. In any case it would be great for him to be governor general or great for him to be involved in the NRC somehow.

I know that peter cosgrove had some good relations with north sydney a while ago, but that was while I was still in school. It seems that the east/south sides are the most disjointed and hard headed out of the lot of them, exciting that the others are once again working together for the good...

why wouldn't wests leagues just move back to leichardt for training? in fact why don't west harbour move there while concord is turned into a scrapheap? Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk

I think they're hesitant to do that again charger because of the original ARC. There was no problem with the pairings then but they don't know what to blame since it was their ineptitude at home ground placement and marketing and resilience at that time. Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201...

blatant self advertisement here but obviously there's room for the WS Rams to be resurrected with a clearer brand :p obviously there should be room in the franchise for a young up and coming marketer with graphics skills too :p

best outcome to have shute shield teams involved is to create new franchises, setup 50% split between the shute shield clubs in the district and sell the other 50% to investors. That gives significant input and investment but also independance with the teams having 12.5% stakes they would be...

UWS also sponsor the GWS giants and Wanderers. I'm fairly sure they will force a western sydney team somehow. The big bids should be trying to affiliate with the smaller ones for arguments sake in any case.

The idea of ANY Shute Shield club standing alone I think is fantasy or hubris. its good news if USyd have coe to their senses and are pairing up with someone. They could contribute to a very strong Sydney City team.
