It Doesn't really matter, it looks like their jv side with unsw and easts will get in. We'll see what entity actually bids. Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk

they definitely need to learn the joint venture concept. Bids are due on friday (?) though and its not long now till we'll find out who's there and who's not and under which names. The fact we're all so virulently discussing all this says already that the passions will be present at every new...

completely agree that randwick as a brand in the NRC would be hazardous, particularly because there would then be no recognisable pure sydney city team. Just advocating for the value having a good brand would be in this comp.

I think because of traditions etc and the way the tahs and reds brand has been handled, some people in rugby circles somewhat undervalue this word and outcomes. Brand is a very important factor in a competition trying to be established in an area with varied and strong competition in other...

UNSW. (just to be clear I'm not a randwick fan, just putting forward the rational points I've seen and I may know a bit more about them than you guys, I'm a Rams man.)

Also I think all you guys are mistaking eastwood not giving finances for not being involved. The rams are working together for the good of rugby, no matter where the money is coming from they know working together to field a team for western and southern Sydney is the thing that matters. Brett...

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Sydney uni didn't meet the fact that the ARU weren't accepting anyone as a purely standalone club, hence balmain joined in and with warren livingstones numbers and passion, its of a benefit to the NRC and the clubs future. It will be interesting to see how they brand it. I'm not advocating...

It isn't in regard to those comments that that is a rebuttal for I like to watch, it was his statement that " People who have affiliation with other Shute Shield clubs might see this as a good thing, but those who want to see the Wallabies rise to parity with the All Blacks might view it as a...

    National Rugby Championship 2014

the football club that randwick runs from investigations doesn't seem to be in trouble in comparison to the licenced club. Though I'm unsure. In terms of success that reflects on my comment of good times and bad times. Randwick did have sustained success for a long period of their history. USyd...

I know, its hard for uni boys to understand that rugby exists outside of Camperdown.

the pathway would simply be at balmain or another affiliated club wouldn't it, you could easily transfer the development program there and differentiate the pro club from the "amateur" club. Uni were prominent from '99, won in 2001, then their dominance in 2005 through to now didn't they? how...

    National Rugby Championship 2014

its not that different, in reality the reason both clubs can try and go it alone is because of their political pull within the boys club that is rugby administration. Both have had good times and bad times, like any club. In any case to suggest that uni was ever in the sights to work with any...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

well its not, its just replacing it in the 3 tier comp rather than the Shute Shield. It should be able to be more professional in that capacity shouldn't it? particularly with the ability to work with a subbies club obviously owned by a very wealthy and smart backer who's confident in rugby. It...

    National Rugby Championship 2014

I think if you're going to be complaining about randwick then you have to be complaining about uni too. no matter what position they ended up with recently they both have similar histories of being hated y everyone else and a lot of political pull within the national structures. Even their...

I think if they get promoted as randwick to the 3tier level, as with usyd, they should look at not having the same club in the shute shield. since htey will have close affiliations with balmain and unsw those could be options to promote in their place.

considering that the brumbies own half the territory that the country bid will probs be operating in, you could potentially have the canberra and nsw country bids feed into them. Considering uni have such a close connection with the rebels now you could have potential links there between the...

Id like to see them referred to as south queensland with the brisbane team as brisbane. That way they could take them out of the gold coast occasionally to other south queensland regional centres outside brisbane. Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk

you could say much the same thing about the uni bid which is obviously being powered through balmains money. The fact is with the old boys in the ARU the two clubs with the trongest political nous are uni and wicks. Thats what takes them over the line. The Rams and the northern consortium are...

you have to realise in terms of market potential, ignoring club performance, ignoring any relationships, this competition should technically be a whole new kettle of fish. Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk
