Thats what happens when you don't have a boarding school you need to recruit with a 20K radius of the college.

I think the issue is two fold - one GT looks to be very strategic about this recruitment only bringing in a couple of boys in each age group and aimed at strengthening weaknesses, sure there is more than a couple coming in at U12/U13 this year but those are big intake years and no body expected...

Are the rep team list available anywhere yet?? I see the U16 is up but can't find the 13 or 14s anywhere - 12s will picked this weekend.

Do you know what positions or names I doubt there was 2 boys at SLC or Iona that would make GT's 15A's or do you mean U16's in 2015.

I hear (I have not seen him play) O'Toole while a fantastic player is not the strongest scrummager, that probably means bench/impact player is his best hope for Qld 1 - you cant take on NSW 1 or 2 without your strongest scrum. Luka is a certainty and I'll bet they take the best technician as...

I predict at least 3 players from outside GPS 1 (the benches and GPS 2-3) make the Qld Schoolboys A team.

Yes he was (grade 11), he missed first half the season with a bad ankle injury and probably never got back to full fitness, is a League rep player, 2015 College Captain and has been at GT for a while.

If I remember correctly last year saw a number of players not make GPS 1 but then play Qld 1, I think the selectors, where they know what certain players bring to the table, will give other boys a shot with the 'top' team to see if they bring anything different. e.g. Moroney was bench GPS 2...

Thanks for clearing that up - so you know if Hoani Ford-Stevens trialled, I was surprised to not see him the U15 squads. Good luck for the season.

Is the BGS new to the school? I can't see a BGS student in the 40 selected across the two squads - he must have been down as at another school.

Makes it very hard to understand how one of them was selected in the Qld U15 RL White side for this year.

I just noticed the Schoolboy U15 QLD RL teams were announced a few weeks back - GT, BBC, BSHS and NC all had a player selected. BAG

I agree, while Baker left BBC with some problems and the culture still needs to be set right, the program across the board especially in the in the younger grades is much stronger then ever before. BBC I believe have learnt two very important lessons, you cant build a Rugby program/culture...

It is GT, I have not had it confirmed but the guy who told me is usually in the know.

GSP - i really do hope BBC has a good year there are a few players in the team whose play i really enjoy, but i also think there are a few long on reputation and very short on performance, I suspect the team will under deliver again this season - due mainly to (lack of) work rate and reliance...
