    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

I I have had a crack at the top 4 off the top of my head, memories from last year and rumours for this year. Any deeper would require actual research and real knowledge has no place on this forum!!!! Looking at it though GT seems to feature too much, but I cant seem to drop any out (maybe...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

i think the trick is to bring in the numbers early 13/14 and then add a couple of complimentary players in the later years. This is what GT seems to be trying to achieve, grab some talent at the key intake years and build from there- I truly doubt Baker will have the same free reigns at GT he...

IGS have the best exposed form and some quality new boys, BSHS have a number of the All Star League boys so they should be two of the top U13 sides.

I take it you mean the As and where they will finish?? 13A's very hard to call but if our Rugby recruitment is half as good as our Cricket in the age group I would say top 3 at least. 14A's I think will be big improvers this year and expect top 3 with BBC and IGS and closing the gap...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

As this is a GPS thread I didn't feel the need to mention AIC for 2 reasons: 1) the standard of competition across the board is not as high at the 1st XV level so clearly the pinnacle in Qld Schoolboy Rugby is the GPS comp 2) my U14/15 comment did not say GPS - I meant the age group as a whole...

6 BBC boys (7 with the caveat of Ikitau) in the Qld Schoolboys run on side. BBC must be near certainties to take out the GPS title again this year ;-0

Absolutely GPS 1st XV is easily the most entertaining form of Rugby IMO. Actually I reckon U15/U14 A's are next in line as well

I thought GT beat Nudgee in the clash for the spoon in a game of two teams without a win - did NC upset someone late??

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Out of interest how many of those U15 A's are expected to start in 2015 and how many played more than half the games in 2014??

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Sorry WW you have missed my point - the graduating 2016 cohort has been a strong age group all the way through with an undefeated U13 U14(maybe lost one to NC) and a disrupted U15 due to School activities. The key players have been together for a number of years and come with outstanding...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Will be an interesting year at Tennyson this season - 2016 has long been earmarked for a Red and Black run at the title - so 2015 should be a building year - hence the new boys in year 11. Picking a team at this point is pretty hard as I am not sure how many from Yr 11 will be blooded for...

Pretty sure he played more A's than he did C's - lots of rep footy too.

Oh and a 2014 NC 14A player is now at GT - every little bit helps.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

GT's 15A's will miss a few games and lots of training like every year - middle of the pack at best and little indication of what they are capable off - just like last year.

BBC beat GT - 29 - 5 and the score flattered BBC. They were clearly the more threatening side but it was a tough match. Always a lot of myths out Toowong way.

I expect GT to be big improvers in the U14a this year - they have a lot of talented players that just did not gel well last season, as well as some key injuries - not sure if it was coaching, the wrong balance or something else but I expect to see them in the top 2-3 this season.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

That is the key that I think BBC have learnt over the last few seasons, while there is a risk in bringing them younger and some wont work out in grade 11 and 12, trying to bring in half a team or more for a year or two wont win anything. Teams need to develop, players need to learn and want to...
