It must be getting to that time of year where we start picking teams making predictions and talking up BBC as title favourites - let the fun time roll!!!!!

The Relationship Between the Schools, the Clubs, the Unions and the ARU

Spot on and well said the BS regarding Schools damaging rugby in Australia is wonderful, without the private schools support over the last 100 years there would be no Rugby in Australia. The sad fact is the Blazer wearers involved particularly in NSW and QLD rugby have never adapted to the...

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Couldn't agree more - Rugby is dead if it is going to rely on Junior Clubs to fund the game and its superstars. If the sponsorship/TV/Gates cant cover the expenses of Wages/travel/admin, then the system needs to change dramatically - adding Super Rugby trips to Argentina and Japan would not...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

In the two games I saw I thought 12 Sua was their best, he would be my pick to kick on to a senior career in Rugby (L or U)

    Australian Schoolboys 2014

After watching the BarBars game I would have picked Tuaina Tualima at 6 - backrow work rate was clearly our biggest weakness.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

From 2018 half of every year 12 class will be turning 18 in their first/normal final year of school. So this advantage is time limited.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Guys I think a number of people here are missing what is being discussed. They are looking at moving to class groups as the defining DATE range. Rather than the current policy where under 11 is all boys born between 1 Jan 2003 and 31 Dec 2003 playing together as Under 11, which crosses over...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Well as it stands now in Qld half of year 12 will turn 18 in teh final year from the current year 8's i believe And my impression from a couple of the DOR's they are looking at all years going to class groups next year

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Just looking at the school year and how it all works now by 2020 (as an example) we will have half Year 10 at 16 years old, Year 11 16 and 17 and Year 12 17 and 18 - it is going to get competitive for places in the firsts when they will legitimately have 2 and half years of 16+ year olds - we...

As it was before we screwed with the School Year!! Clubs can be that way as they should, school should be about playing with your class mates.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Yes but you are looking a smaller percentage compared to half the year in the current arrangements, unfortunately by falling into line with NSW and breaking up the year we have made playing sport with your mates much harder. Why we ever changed teh school year is beyond me.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Correct and a great decision, boys should be playing rugby with their class mates that is what Schoolboy rugby should, in fact, be all about.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Hey what about the 3/4 of the crowd you forgot to show, you know the ones in Red and Black ;-) All jokes aside BBC has come along in leaps and bounds in its rugby program over the last several years and deserve recognition for that fact. I am not convinced they understand how to build...
