    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Not to mention that fans decried the Deans years for being too boring and not playing attacking, exciting rugby. Pocock is a defensive force but offers little on attack. Hooper is one of the most dangerous forwards in world rugby with the ball in hand. Isn't that exactly what everybody has been...

I read elsewhere that the Wallabies don't employ a sports psychologist on a regular basis, whereas the All Blacks do. This stuff matters in modern sport and it seems like the All Blacks are innovators, despite being constantly in front -- and it's probably one of the things that keeps them in...

Yes, no one who is paid for a living to write full time about rugby should be given any credence whatsoever. And definitely we shouldn't count on that newfangled metrics shit, not if it's gonna tell us something we don't already know.

That's one interpretation, Payten's is another (and one that's based on spending time around the team). IMO, there is clearly a difference between the two sides in the top two inches (as well as all the other ones). Whether the name for it is 'complacency' or not is of course debatable.

Iain Payten has a good take on the difference in mentality between the two teams.

    Waratahs 2015

Yeah, and that makes four fifths of fuck all difference to everyone waiting. Absolutely. But the only way to influence things for the better is to hammer the Tahs over it on member surveys and via email after games. That gives them data they can take to both the other tenants and the Trust.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

That's a good idea. Can we make JacPot an Aussie? I know he's played for the Bokke, but our PM is a rugby fan, surely he could get the boys and girls at Immigration to backdate his citizenship a few years and invalidate those caps.

Crap news about Pat McCabe. Tough as nails, but if it's a third broken neck you've got to start thinking about the rest of your life. Fingers crossed it's just a scare.

NSW Country v Greater Sydney Rams - Saturday 23 August

Okay, thanks. It was hard to see from where we were huddled -- missed all four tries.

It might not have a winger's game, but Kellaway looked good. It seemed like he was involved in most of the 4 tries, but it was hard to tell because the bloody coffee wagon was blocking our view of the north west corner.

If Tony Abbott could #GetRammed that would be great.

No cans is meant to be about public safety -- can't chuck cups and hurt someone. But there is never any argy bargy at Tahs games, so what does it matter?

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Tony Abbott has declared himself Captain of Team Australia, so I think we're roughly even.

    Waratahs 2015

What I like about ANZ is the speed of beer queues -- even at the final, it was pretty quick to get a drink. The SFS has 20 minute queues on a regular basis, which I think is unacceptable. I understand why it happens, but I do think the Waratahs need to get that shit sorted out fast. Speaking...

I was trying to be as clear as possible. Barbarian really didn't seem to be getting it.

No, no, no. You've got it all wrong. Any time we lose the ball at the breakdown it's "something something Hooper is not a 7 something something."

I'm sure Poite will have taken that under advisement. In the secret orders he receives for how to ref the ABs. From Paddy O'Brien. Joël Jutge Fixed

    Waratahs 2015

Potentially, that's true. However, there would likely (at least in my view) be a number of years with atrocious attendance while those potential fans were engaged. But how can you do that when you're trying to get people to come to sparsely attended games in a massive stadium that sucks to watch...
