    Refereeing decisions

I dont disagree, but my observation still remains that the side where the referee is close by is penalised less, and if the referee switches to the other sides after many infringements is suddenly is fixed up.

    Refereeing decisions

Yes, I would bring them in to the same distance as the actual referee

    Refereeing decisions

It seems most issues happen on the side that the referee is NOT standing on, could an easy solution be to bring on a touch judge to stand next to the scrum at the time of it being packed? If there is a run or kick down the touchies side the the video ref can make an assessment.

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

I should be happy for Lynagh, especially as a Reds fan, but I don't see him being suited for a bench spot. If 12 or 13 get injured who is playing in the centres? I think he can cover 15 if needed but gee he will be targeted if he moves to the centres for injury cover during the game. Dont get...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Not a Rugby article but some big changes in broadcasting- https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/next-in-the-firing-line-crisis-could-switch-off-network-10-in-tasmania-and-nt-regional-wa-services-bailed-out/news-story/c4307d2687539b53d6054a8d6032f155 This is an interesting development, I...

Maybe it is simple and he is not interested in Captaining?

    Queensland Reds 2024

Unlucky for Thomas, I think he would have a decent shot at overtaking McDermott next season as a starter, he was looking pretty good when he was starting this season.

    Wallabies 2024

I am amazed that someone who posts on this forum has proven that have never ever seen a Reds game.

    Wallabies 2024

I think by the time we play the Lions is will be Wright 6, McReight 7 and Cale 8

    Wallabies 2024

Even though Wilson is in my 3 favourite players and as a Reds fan I would have Cale at 8 he deserves it.

    Michael Hooper: "What a ride!"

That amazes me, what a champion, usually a winger or fullback will get a few runs of 20-30m each game returning long kicks. To outdo this is pretty impressive.

    Queensland Reds 2025

No, I guess I can't, but that is how it feels when someone leaves, especially when they then comes back as a last resort because the team they left for collapses. This is particularly the case when they could have stayed but chose to leave rather than not being given a option to stay. I have...

    Queensland Reds 2025

If I recall correctly (cant be bothered looking it up), apart from the final, I don't think we were behind on the scoreboard at the 80 minute mark against any NZ team. This is something to be positive about, particularly when we are adding depth that gives us a better bench to close out games...

    Queensland Reds 2025

Just saw an interesting comment by Geoff Parkes on the Roar https://www.theroar.com.au/2024/06/28/raiwalui-says-tahs-a-success-in-waiting-opens-up-on-urgent-coach-search-and-locking-down-tupou/ I wonder if this is someone returning home, or a new player who has not previously been with the Reds?

    Wallabies 2024

I think the Super Rugby coach should play them where they fit into their team the best, not where the Wallabies coach wants them to play (or learn).

    Queensland Reds 2025

Lynagh? As much as I love how he puts his body on the line I think he either needs to bulk up quickly or move to a position where he is not being targeted all the time. He seems to have what would be required at 15 and HMP looked the goods at 10 early in the season.

Melbourne Rebels Players - where are they going?

Maybe he believes he can become a better player at the Reds?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think it is females, I cannot think of the last free to air show I watched, but my wife and her friends (and the girls at my office) all seem to watch endless "reality TV" programs. Edit- just thought of one, I watch the Matildas on free to air
