I think the worrying thing for St Peters in terms of the success of their 1st XV in the next few years, is that they only seem to have won two of all the games played yesterday including a 101-0 drubbing in the 14 A's. Hopefully they get over the line next week, would be good for the competition...

Keep in mind that the selectors generally favor Year 12's over the 11's and 10's. This is generally the deciding factor when choosing two players in the same position of equal talent which might effect whether Wilkin will get a run in AIC 1, although he definitely has the talent to be there. #15...

15 from Iona is an outstanding player, wouldn't be surprised if he made an AIC team.

If this is true it would be a devastating loss. They clearly missed him yesterday against a far bigger center pairing.

If they were to move Rugby and Soccer to term 3, there would just be a massive gap where boys wouldn't really have a sport to play. Who is Torpy playing for by the way, because Villa definitely doesn't play league.

This seems to be the first year where it has taken the most amount of players out, unless I just haven't been paying attention to it in previous years. I understand if players have a legal commitment, but if they do then they shouldn't be put in the position where they need to miss a game or two...

Can't say I agree with players not playing games due to other sporting commitments. If you're not going to commit to a full season of 1st XV Rugby, you don't deserve to be playing as you can bet that there are so many other young men wanting to be in the position.

I am not doubting that they are on the rise, they beat Ashgrove in what I'm sure would be the first time in many many years. I'm just questioning whether or not they will be able to maintain winning consistency that they have lacked from year to year so far in the competition. Being a school...

I think the question is whether St Peters will maintain form in the coming seasons. They were fairly ordinary in the years of 05-07 then came about 4th or 5th in 2008 and gave some of the top 4 teams a run for their money in 2009 but were then belted 84-0 by Villa in 2010. Hopefully the teams...
