Dan Palmer to sign with Brumbies

Don't see the Tahs being very willing to let someone of his calibre go, unless Palmer has an option in his favour somewhere - which is very possible. Tahs were always very very likely to lose one of their 4 top props, but losing Palmer instead of Kepu or Baxter would be a real surprise and...

Attendance Prediction : Tahs v Lions

Why try to cover your own inadequencies by fixating on someone else, especially if that someone else is flat broke? 15,912.2

    Reds vs Force, Brisbane

Lee - that trial game looked like men against boys, with the Force pack dominating the Reds completely. You'd have hoped the Reds have improved since then, but if both packs remember what happened in that trial game then it could get interesting and you're right, it could easily happen again...

    Pecking Order: openside flanker

Colby Fainga'a's first problem will be staying higher in the pecking order at the Brumbies than Michael Hooper.

    Waratahs vs Lions. Sydney.

Brumbies may have been very good at recycling, but saying that they didn't go wide in the late 90s/early 00s is wrong. I recall them ripping up many a side by throwing the ball around. They just had the patience to create themselves some space first. Tahs should win by at least 10 points. Lions...

    Pecking Order: openside flanker

Hodgson has been a lot better than Waugh this year. And last year, too, in fact. Hodgson has been fanstastic. I'd have him second behind Pocock right now. Regarding McCutcheon - he's another one of the talented McCutcheon brothers (the older is back on the farm I think), but after watching him...

No Mowen? Guess it's hard when his coach doesn't select him there.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

I thought that Biffo would've been all over that one. For the people who didn't get the amusing reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acronym http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen%27s_Counsel Curious numbering for your bench too, and no halfback replacement.

    Pecking order: Number 8

Higginbotham has a high work rate and high level of involvement but currently his effectiveness is low. His body height is also too high and his leg drive non-existant this year.

    Pecking order: THP

Fair enough on that I guess. The Reds pack as a whole was out scrummed by the Tahs, which certainly may not have been Weeks' fault. But I think that Weeks acquitted himself very well in the other games, especially vs the Blues.

    Reds vs Force, Brisbane

I would be cautious of saying the Reds are any kind of real deal as yet. They hi-jacked the Chiefs after the Chiefs flew back to NZ, and the Chiefs looked cooked after 30 minutes. They ambushed the Crusaders well and the shell-shocked Crusaders barely even fought back. The Blues were the better...

    Pecking order: THP

Thought Robinson clearly got the better of Weeks. Didn't think the Crusaders scrum was any better than the Reds really, but my memory may not be accurate on that. The Reds scrum clearly got the better of the Blues though, including Woodcock - who really struggled at scrum time when he came on.

    Waratahs vs Sharks. Sydney.

Cyclo - yeah, I also can not recall a penalty try being given 30m out, or even 20m out. Any recent predecents would be really interesting, as would any official ref comment. Surely the distance from the tryline is the only reason as to why you would think that it cannot be given. Would be...

    Waratahs vs Sharks. Sydney.

Because Chambers was making a tackle with an arm stuck out. Those are never called, rightly or wrongly. Beale did not attempt a tackle, and was not making a takle. Gagger you still think that what Beale did was not penalty worthy? No offence, but if it happened against the Tahs most on this...

    Tahs Acadmy V Gods Academy

Hope you're not hinting about Cornelson, who ran 1000 metres and stepped 5 million people to score those four tries. Or perhaps he ran a total of 6m and broke no tackles. Still a legendary feat. But nonetheless, your point is very valid.

    Waratahs vs Sharks. Sydney.

Looking at that replay in slow-mo it's obviously an intentional slap at the ball as the commentators say. Left arm reaching out, palm sideways. Honestly, I think you're delusional if you think otherwise. <edit> Yes, I think Beale went for the intercept. But the pass was too good and he...

    Reds vs Force, Brisbane

Hmmm, I can seriously see a comfortable Force victory here. Let's list some reasons: - Reds have not won a back to back game since 2005(?) - Force coming off a bye with several injured players returning - Force have been reemed with injuries and still put in respectable performances - Reds will...

    Reds vs Force, Brisbane

Was a BSHS boy. Queensland through and through. Was in the same grade at BSHS as Simon Kasprowicz who was poached by the Tahs; in fact both were in the 1st XV together. Michael Kasprowicz was a few years ahead in both the 1st XV and 1st XI but chose cricket. In fairness, Sharpe spent a few...

    Pecking order: THP

A real litmus test of Baxter will be when he plays the Blues and faces Woodcock. If the Myth can collapse at will on the Tahs feed and make it looks like Baxter's fault then his time at test level is up. BTW, Woodcock got out scrummaged by Weeks when he came off the bench. The Blues scum was awful.

    Waratahs vs Sharks. Sydney.

Can't recall the ref but would like some consistency. It's a hard thing to judge as players do it all the time when attempting a tackle and I thought it loomed like Beale was going in for the tackle but would like to see it again now. I think it is a judgement call and an interpretation of palm...
