    Australian Team of Round 6

All three starting halfbacks were nothing to write home about this week. In fact, most of the team might be filled with the person who least sucked in that position. Don't think Australian teams are looking overly rosy at the moment in the S14. Brumbies and Tahs struggling. Force sucking...

Force player of the match v Tahs

Don't quite see the J'OC love in this game. Compared to the other games this year in this one he had no impact at all.

Force player of the match v Tahs

I just can't give points to Sheehan whilst he lives under the illusion that he can kick. His box kicks are truly horrific. Hill's long kicking game was generally good I thought. It would be nice if the Force had another decent backrower to back up Hodgson. McCalman and Stanford just are not at...

Force player of the match v Tahs

Don't know if anyone but Hodgson deserves points. 3 Hodgson 2 Spanner 1 Bartholomeusz Was tempted to give Wykes some as he wasn't any worse than those second two. Hill was largely ok too. That is the problem - apart from Hodgson the next best were merely ok.

Tahs player of the match v Force

3 Schmoo 2 TPN 1 Hangers I see those three getting most of the points... And Barnes and Burgess and Anesi getting none.

    Tahs v Force

Ok I will get this started. Was last week just a flash in the pan for the Tahs? Or this week a speed bump? Even Marto in the commentary box is bagging Anesi now... Have the Force turned a corner or did they just fire up after a pasting vs the Reds for a team they don't like? I have serious...

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

Waugh in the matchday 22? Oh haha I get the joke. For a second I thought you were serious... Mitchell is really demanding a wing.

    Tahs v Force

Tahs really lucky there. Especially as they have once again gotten the better of the ref decisions. That penalty right near the death where he called Sharpe for holding on was just dire. Both teams were pretty poor and completely unimaginative. Hodgson was huge and best player on the park...

    Tahs v Force

Tabs looking in a bit of trouble. Force are fired up and playing well. Tahs have looked like they thought they just had to turn up to win. Mitchell has some good form though. Kicking for goal? Is that what they are doing? Sykes screwed.

    QLD Reds 2010

I suspect that quite often they announce the length of the ARU contracts but the players seem to often have options.

    Quick question

Yes - and I can confirm that even Subbies refs are informing players of this before games, along with anyone involved in the tackle (even those on their feet) must first release the tackled player before playing the ball. Although, don't ever expect consistency from lower grade Subbies refs...

    Scotty Staniforth

Jets, I read and heard the same thing. Amazed it hasn't popped up more. Anyone have the inside word on if he's staying longer than the one month he apparently signed for initially? Staniforth and Grey were a bit different at 12 I thought. Staniforth was a faster better runner, Grey stronger...

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Re: Rebels deadline ends, update here on what you hear. The Tahs have three hookers capable of starting in the S14 and all want to play. They will inevitably lose one, whether it be this year or next unless they do some super special wheeling and dealing. Ultimately though it's not good for...

    Ioane's headgear

As Matty said. They cover up the manufacturer but normally it is black tape on black headgear so it is not so obvious. They all do it and it is really noticeable once you look for it. The only manufacturer signs you will see on players are from sponsors. All sports do this and some to silly...

    The Tahs

I won't grow tired of repeating this about Anesi... I used to rate him as a really good S14 player but since his awful broken neck he's been a shadow of his old self. This is why he was struggling to make the bench before he came to the Tahs.

    Reds vs Force, Brisbane

When I get off the iPhone I will have to dig up the hooker pecking order thread and eat my humble pie after suggesting Cowan might make the squad as the third hooker.

    Reds vs Force, Brisbane

Reds looking great and some good looking attack despite beig messy at times. But geez the Force defence is a bit here and their and their lineout is terrible. Force looking better so far in the second half. Reds bleeding penalies and could get a second in the bin.

    Waratahs vs Lions. Sydney.

I hate to agree wih WJ but you have to give credit where it's due - and the Tahs tore the Lions a new one. Good to see them counter and not kick the ball away. It's hard to judge against a poor opposition but I hope the Tahs can continue this way into the future. It is great to see Barnes not...

Brothers Vs Uni - gimp fight

What happened to Syd Uni fullback Nathan Trist?

    Reds vs Force, Brisbane

Yup, I can't understand either. Mouth dropped when I read that. Is Turinuri carrying a niggle or getting a rest? I thought Va'aulu was very average last week and Turinuri has gone well in the opening 3 rounds. I hope McKenzie's not rotating players, as this is a game the Reds could very easily...
