2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

It was a very disappointing crowd at Viking Park today. Probably measuring only in the 400-500 range and the smallest I can recall at a match there. Did the 1pm start trick up a lot of people?

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

Bernie Larkham engineered a bonus point win for the Brumbies over the Jaguares. What's to say that he and Cheika can't do the same for the Wallabies over the Pumas?

But arguably, and imo, better than Foley. Adds a dimension of control and management to the attack, and is a far better kicker of the ball. His defense is also better - thinking about it, he is a very large step up from Bernard, but as you say might not be test quality.

NRC 2017 Sydney Rays v Greater Sydney Rams Sunday @ 3pm

Rays were probably always up against it after having the bye in the first round. Seems to often equate to a loss when it comes into play.

NRC 2017 Canberra Vikings v Perth Spirit Sunday @ 1pm

As forecast, it was a hard fought game between two very good NRC sides. Was that Naisarini playing 8 for the Rising? He is just full of potential. I think Jonno Lance had a very influential impact and he really should be given a go with the Wallabies, maybe next week v the Pumas. And though he...

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

Depending on how he goes today for the Spirit, one change I'd like to see considered would be Lance in at 10 for Foley. Would allow KB (Kurtley Beale) to stay at 12 where he has been outstanding and where he also has the opportunity to get back to support Folau in the second full back spot. As often as not...

    Force 2018

It was on show, and gained a lot of applause from surrounding patrons.

    Refereeing decisions

In the ABs v Argies test match yesterday, the ABs invariably set a three or four man lineout on all their throws. The throw was then aimed towards their jumper but because of the small distance involved, it wasn't once called not straight. Had it been a full lineout with a throw to the back at...

RHP - 118kg. Perhaps check some facts before posting misleading opinions. Obviously heavier than Hanigan and actually plays and looks heavier still. But in his absence through injury, someone else does need to step up.

Yes, along with Dempsey, Rona and Simmons. Timani even if a bit out of form, which I don't necessarily hold to, must come in at 8. Rodda to replace Simmons for his extra power game. No 6 is very difficult given the two players in form were ignored and have gone elsewhere, and injuries to RHP and...

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

Some observations: The Wallabies backrow continues to be the major weakness in this side - we were bossed at the breakdown all night, Saffas made huge metres with pick and drives, Kriel turned over a swag of Wallaby ball while I'm not sure that the Wallabies even got one turnover, scrum back...

That's a fucking great development program you have down there HL.;)

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Forrest undertook to assist his local side, the WA Force. Why would he have been interested in bailing out the Reds Tahs and Rebels who have apparently been into the ARU for as much or more than the Force were in recent times.

    Brumbies 2018

Think Cusack will fill the hole at 6 with Hyne also in the mix there if either of Fakosolea or Valetini make the grade at 8.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Daz, there really does seem to be as bit of undeserved vitriol aimed at the Force and their supporters coming through in your latest posts. Doesn't endear the Rebels and their cause to me at all.

Wallabies v Springboks Saturday 9th Sept NIB Stadium

We really need Holloway to step up in the NRC and have an opportunity with the Wallabies when he is fit, not just returning from long term injury. He did look very good last weekend. On the matter of returning from injury, what is it with Cheika that he uses players before they have fully...

Killer, from Wikipedia: Speight 1.86m and 97 kg; Koroibete 1.8m and 93 kg. Speight is marginally the bigger, and imo plays bigger. Koroibete might be the faster.

NRC 2017 Sydney Rays v Greater Sydney Rams Sunday @ 3pm

Kaino is an interesting addition to the Rays. Expect a strong showing when he comes off the bench.

NRC 2017 Canberra Vikings v Perth Spirit Sunday @ 1pm

Two evenly balanced teams, Spirit with 8 regular Super Rugby players and Vikings with 7. Could come down to the siege mentality of the Spirit against the home advantage of the Vikings. Possibly the top game of the weekend.
