RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

Yeah, after knocking off the Welsh and the Poms, it was always going to be hard mentally for this game - but I am sure Cheika was aware of the fact and was trying to see them revved.

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

OK, finally watched the game in full last night My thoughts? Aus weren't mentally "on" in defence, they were passive, not aggressive for long periods and looked flat. We really lacked defensive sting and that made turnovers harder to come by, and that meant the Scots had more opportunities...

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

and if we slow the game down to NFL speed with video ref digging through each play this stuff will happen less but watching it once at speed from where ever the ref is viewing, at first view I thought it wasn't the worst decision, especially when compared to Maitland's yellow which had the...

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I have only seen the highlights so far, but it appears that the Wobs weren't mentally up for this game. The complacency fairy nearly provided a very harsh lesson

Can we ever play the Scots without it being pissing down with rain? Typos by SwiftKey, errors in tone by me

RWC QF 2 NZ v FRA (Millenium Stadium) 18th Oct 0600 AEDT

Just fantastic skills and work rate by the AB's across the park They keep in play, they get up again and again; and work for eachother unselfishly- and the whole team can catch and pass; and make good decisions Great to watch

RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

Speight is as good a 13 as Kerevi at the moment and Cheika clearly wants a second play maker at 12, so To'omua and Beale are already 12 cover

It would have made more sense to use Speight unless the plan is to get Cooper some game time at 10 to keep him an option if Foley goes down. Horne? he trained doing contact work this week, he must be close enough and Chieka appreciates his points of difference

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

He highlights how just important attitude is, all the talent in the world without the right attitude it means f*ck all Always a concern when any talented unit is continually changing teams, it is always a good measure of the player, and not in a good way

    Scrum Talk

apparently the two front rows do mostly live scrum work as well, much less leaning against machines it all adds up

    The League Media

Yeah, I simply don't see any valid reason to bother, every compromise is about taking the competition for the ball away - and that is the essence of rugby

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

this x 1000 the pleasure of rugby is that for every style there is a counter The Welsh nullified our quick ball by attacked our ball carriers by holding them off the ground for as much as possible and then competing hard at the breakdown We actually didn't have an answer Many sides seem...

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

There could have been more yellows (and maybe should have been) a couple of the Welsh were lucky to stay on after numerous ruck infringements and a couple of the Wobs were well off side out wide and that drove the Welsh back in close

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I am not bothered by the technique, more the effectiveness, there are numerous leaguies who seem to thrive using the technique. But actually, in this game, I was just as happy to see the number of times he didn't pass, pushing play to someone in a worse position instead just taking the tackle...
