Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I think you have priority correct It highlights the gulf from Folau. From a player who negates the high ball and makes teams think of other options, to players likely to spill 1 or 2 in 3 highballs under pressure.

NRC Rnd 2: Stars v QLD Country

90 points in a game, meh, these early defense optional opposed training runs get bloody frustrating to me Pretty hard to judge any of the general play really.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Agreed, Douglas's best work is about cleanouts, pushing, defense and having a big engine. Although for 2014 he was the defensive shooter at the 10 for the Tahs, a role Hooper was given in 2015. So his defensive stats were partly shaped by the misses that that pressuring unit will invariably...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

True but some of the guys who needed gametime and/or match practice are getting it. I can think of quite a few in the Wobs squad who need one or both. Typos by SwiftKey, errors in tone by me

It is interesting, we are off to another camp, the Kiwis are still playing provincial rugby

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

So do we continue to just complain or look forward? Has anyone seen info on what the squad is doing over the next few weeks? Cheika has picked two sets of 15, does he plan to just have then go at eachother for the next few weeks? Are the being sent to keep their match fitness up and...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

yeah, I guess the issue is that Cheika was not confident that the other options could do the role he wants done as well as Douglas. Typical QLD selection bias as far as I care

Yeah, a Moore gets a cork, Nau gets a head knock; and a McMahon or a winger or another goes home

I look forward to the press conference, quite a few questions in this selection

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Horne, like Mitchell has the ability to play multiple positions, in that smaller RWC squad, outside the starters, flexibility will be key. We get those calculations if someone important goes down early, are they sent home or rested, having those squad options is a necessity especially with...

    Waratahs 2016

i would suggest something like this, Jim Stewart looks pretty good to me and if wing is an issue moving Horne doesn't make sense 1 Robinson, Ben 2 Polota-Nau, Tatafu 3 Ryan, Paddy 4 Skelton, Will 5 Mumm, Dean 6 Dennis, Dave 7 Hooper, Michael 8 Holloway, Jed 9 Phipps, Nick 10 Foley, Bernard 11...
