    Brumbies 2017

Was really refering to the ~19 years before that one but I take your point

    Brumbies 2017

I'm sure all (tax-fee) sporting organisations would rather not, but they seem to get away with it somehow?

    Brumbies 2017

Any ideas why the Brumbies/ACTRU don't publish their annual report and financial statements?

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

As an aside - big knee injury over the weekend for poor Matt (and poor Leicester!). He's out for 6 months

Wales vs Australia, 5 November 2016, (1:30am 6 November AEDT) @ Millenium Stadium

Lets not forget the Chieka was Izzy's coach when he first came across too - so he'll have a fairly good idea of when a player is ready to play international rugby.

    Brumbies 2017

The Tahs spent $14.7m on professional rugby expenses in their premiership season. There was also $3m in corporate expenses and another $1.5m in licenscing fees back to the NSWRU, for a total of $19.2m The Reds run the pros and the QRU together and have expenses of close to $25m That gives...

Ali Baba to invest $100m to grow Rugby in China.

Will be interesting to see how they go - there aren't too many examples of countries pushing up through the ranks, so would be good to see it happen Long road though........... Article from 2000 China's Military Leads Big Push for Rugby Glory

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Isn't it saying he's getting a 7 figure deal with third party deals and match payments? So at $10k per test Match, $3k per Super Rugby match and a couple of hundred k from the Waratahs you're already up to 500k. Add in a couple of hundred grand (?) from Foxtel etc and relatively speaking it's not a...

Ali Baba to invest $100m to grow Rugby in China.

Should get the ARU's participation counters out there and they'll crack one million by next Tuesday.

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

Can you really expect passion when you play 15 games a year? This is a job for these guys after all And I'm trying to work out how best to put this - but how many of our players grew up dreaming of playing for the Wallabies?

    Reds 2017

Is there any reason to think that the guys from last year (Damien Marsh and Ross Chapman) wouldn't continue in their positions?

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

Agree with this Coles only had to hit 20 rucks all game - while Dean Mumm hit 36 (Cole didn't quite play the 80, but the point remains) The Wallabies had to hit 30% more rucks overall (265 v 201). They were working harder, and achieving less.

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

Well it's the player's money really - comes out of the money set aside for them under the CBA doesn't it?

Helps that taxpayers fund the Sevens team too!

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

Lets be pragmatic here - This is pro sport. You don't deserve anything, there's no time to be put in, you don't get a turn. The ARU is spending a lot of money on Koroibete. They are going to want to see some return on that investment as quickly as possible. Get him in the squad, run him...

Couldn't reply earlier Reg but espn satas are available for this one http://www.espn.com.au/rugby/playerstats?gameId=268581&league=268561 Why would you need them though with ForceFan around!

    JOHN EALES MEDAL 2016

How does the JEM handle suspensions? Is it a show stopper like the Brownlow? Probably won't affect anyone this year but I'm still curious?

Looking forward to the 40 man announcement with 3 to be omitted at the airport on Thursday and 2 more upon landing at Heathrow

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

All you can really hope for from a team and a coach is that they don't make the same mistakes twice. That's what disappointed me so much about the weekend. Same issues, with the same results. Foley's kicking - repeated by us all as nauseam. And yet within minutes on Saturday he put in a...

    Wallaby Coaching Staff

Veteran Ireland backrower Jamie Heaslip played all five years under Cheika and hinted his side would look to exploit the high-pressure defensive game the coach is renowned for. "What Cheika says in the change room and in training, I don't think stuff can be repeated be he is a very passionate...
