Yep, my mistake. Interesting, but probably not surprising, that nobody seems to have made the squad from the Super Rugby Selection. On their form in the game, Philip, Cottrell and Deegan would probably have had a bit of consideration.

    Brumbies 2019

We will just have to disagree on Kerevi v Hunt then MST. I see no benefit at all to the Brumbies from bringing Hunt into the squad. I really don't see Kerevi wanting to go o/s (at least for a pretracted period) after the RWC as he's still a young man with RWC2023 well and truly in his sights...

That's a very handy looking squad, and probably no real controversial selections or omissions at all. BPA will probably be the most disappointed player to miss out. Slipper missing out will disappoint a few posters on these threads.

Way more upside by recruiting Kerevi than Hunt. Age is the first factor against Hunt, and then there is the fact that he wasn't much chop at the Reds before his wayward activities anyway. Then, we have to keep an eye on the future. Kuridrani would have to be short odds to move to Europe or Japan...

    Reds 2019

Not saying he wouldn't have gone o/s anyway, but he is just another 2017 Rebels player who seems to have been left out in the cold here after the cut to four teams in Super Rugby.

    Rebels 2019

You are right A in that the number of Force players who relocated shows precisely that professional players will move for opportunity. However, my main point was that the 2019 Rebels will be essentially the same team that would have turned out for the Force in 2019 had they survived as a...

    Shute Shield 2018

I also need to record my view that Angus Sinclair put in a very good game at 10 for Norths. Completely overshadowed Mason while he was on the field. How is it that he doesn't seem to get recognition amongst Tahs fans? Also, the MOTM award was a very poor joke. Any of the two locks, either of...

    The Wallabies Thread

So, who are the likely departures after or even before the RWC? I'd predict TPN and Kepu from the front row, Simmons from the second row, maybe Pocock from the back row, Genia, Phipps, Foley, To'omua and Beale from the backs. If those eventuate, we seem to have reasonable to very good backups...

    Shute Shield 2018

Simone had some simply outstanding moments in attack, and happily his defense was quite strong. A really good all round game where he showed a high quality passing game to set up his wingers as well. He played 13 so he could be a very good backup to both Kerevi and Kuridrani if those two moves...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Fairfax? I don't seem to have a problem opening Canberra Times articles. Maybe with the takeover by Channel 9, the future might be more restricted.

    Rebels 2019

As the dust settles on the fallout from the cut to 4 for greatness ARU decision, it's interesting to to see who really are the winners and losers from the axing of the Force. Assuming a starting side in 2019 of: Sa'aga (Faulkner), Uelese (Rangi), Talakai (Ainsley), Coleman, Philip, Cottrell...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

No good Hoggy. Only brings up the subscribe page. If you want the rest of us to know what's in the article, you will have to post a summary. Thanks.

    Bledisloe 1 - Saturday 18 August 2018 - ANZ Stadium, Sydney

If Cheika goes with that bench, then I'd be surprised if he isn't trialling Banks or Koriobete, or DHP if fit, at 13 in the next fortnight just as options where he doesn't need to shift Folau, which apparently is his preferred ploy.

Watched a different game to you Alex. apparently. Imo Deegan was superior to Stewart. Cottrell had a handy game despite the consensus here that he isn't up to scratch. Banks must be in line for a Wallaby jersey during the RC this year.

Yeah, but is "and" or "or" between points 3 and 4?

Didn't they come to Aus a schoolkids? They must be close to qualifying under 4. despite the intervening periods away.

    The Wallabies Thread

My main point Derpus is that I'd like to see a bit of rotation go on between the best of the locks. Any combination of Coleman, Rodda and Arnold will function better as a starting locking pair than one with Rob Simmons in it. Therefore, I'd have one of those three on the bench in favour of...

    QLD TEAMS 2018

Thanks for the possible team lineups Reg. Country look to be stronger in my eyes. City have a very good front row and will be most interesting to see if QC (Quade Cooper) is able to bring Sorovi along even further in his career. Country backline otherwise is tops, and the backrow is impressive.

:D. I knew if I persisted, I'd eventually get a reaction from Cheika. Just not the expected one. However, what is the answer to Tomikin's question. Anybody know? And does Hooper's omission mean that he won't make it back for the first Bledisloe?
