Good point. But if if he can't be relied upon to make his tackles,I would not start him in any position.

I disagree.Try him at 12. If it doesn't work, then try something else.why else do they have trials? ATM,we have 2 ball running centres. There are not many world class centre combinations, with 2 ball runners.

Which Clubs are the Class of 2013 going to?

I read earlier the twins from Shore are also headed there. That's 3 fly halves from the Oz champs last year. Hope the coach is a great man manager, there has to be some disappointed squad members there.

I wonder what sort of cap you will get this year? AFL or do you think they still have some NRL ones in stock?

More than that, the club would not allow him back without a medical clearance.

I am assuming the Rebels will insist their players stay in Melb. I also assume, the Tahs will allow the players to play for their T3 team of choice.

I don't think you will get the "buy in" from the various clubs if it is centrally administered. Unless each club gets behind the new entities,it will not garner sufficient support from the grass roots supporters. ...That's my theory anyway....

Travelling to away games is one thing.travelling to your home games is another thing altogether. If you could field a team of predominantly locals, you might be a chance. I don't think anyone has the energy to try and do that. We will see after the EOI process is completed i suppose.

It's all too hard to travel 45 minutes if you are a fringe supporter. The rusted on supporters will do it,but there are not enough of them. There are plenty of other things to do with less effort.

The Northern Eagles was a good example, they shared their home games between Gosford & Sydney. At the end the Gosford crowd ended up consisting of die hard Norther Beaches supporters who travelled up there, and locals who were supporting the away team.

Fuck that. Pay attention, the front of the jersey makes fat blokes look thin. Bit worried about the BBQ sauce down the front though! (It's about us,not the players isn't it?)

Dave, there is no process yet. My understanding is that Allambie Jets can submit an EOI to field a team ATM. Let's see what happens when they actually provides some detail about who is responsible for what, before we judge the ARU and it's intentions.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

With respect,I think you are missing the point I was making. No one is attempting to decry the achievement of making any Schoolboy National side. Its the rationale that a selection in the Oz Schoolboys (in either code) ensures long term financial security, that I oppose.

    Reds 2014

If you took my comments about him as a criticism, then you took it the wrong way. By no means am I predicting he will fail,or hoping he will. My impression of the Reds this year,is they were more conservative. That perception might be totally wrong,or it may have nothing to do with his...

    Reds 2014

He has had some apprenticeship. Assistant to Michael Foley, then Knuckles @ Bath, then Eddie Jones @ Saracens,RD @ Wobblies, then John Mitchell with the Force(thank you Wikipedia!) Pretty much all of these coaches teams are arm wrestlers more than they are expansive. I wouldn't be backing the Reds...

I'm not so sure that these teams are going to be that expensive to run. Take the Northern team as an example. Travel costs and accommodation are on Uncle Bill's Amex card,so no cost there. I would imagine 1/2 of their players will be Super players who will cost nothing. Do you think Ale,Hingano...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Don't get me wrong,I'm not suggesting these honours mean nothing,or that the selections were not on merit. You would expect that most senior rep players would also feature in this side. There are actually more regular first graders in this list than I would have anticipated. However, 9 or 10 of...

    Sonny Bill

It makes no sense to suggest that a world standard Rugby player does not have sufficient breakdown skills to compete with the likes of Shannon Walker who honed his breakdown skills on the bench for the Gold Coast Titans, until he was recruited into 7's. No one needs to shift Sekope on their...
