NRC Rnd 6: Melbourne Rising v Western Sydney Rams

As it's unlikely we'll see finals footy I think we should seize any chance to ensure we leave with some silverware. I agree, stuff'em. It's ours.

NRC Rnd 6: Melbourne Rising v Western Sydney Rams

Asquith looked a hell of a lot better today. Why? Because he wasn't playing in the primary play makers role. When not burdened with that he's actually not a bad footballer and looks a lot more comfortable as a secondary ball player. Both he and Walton seem to work well in tandem which is...

NRC Rnd 6: Melbourne Rising v Western Sydney Rams

No. They mentioned something about him suffering from a bit of fatigue.

    NRC onwards and upwards

An interesting snippet from the game today regarding a talk Sean Maloney had with Rays coach Simon Cron re:distance covered in the NRC compared to that of Super Rugby. Evidently each player will cover on average 1.2km more distance in the NRC than in Super Rugby.

On a happier note. Simone is beginning to look like he's just playing with teams now. Was impressed with him throughout the SS this year but seems to have taken the step up with ease for the NRC. I'm thinking a 12/13 combo of him and Folau is beginning to look disturbingly good.

That's terrible. I know you don't want to say who but are they a forward or a back?

A full strength Eagles would be very hard to stop. The key will be getting their best on the park.

NSW Country - - - NRC Official Team Thread

Far from the best side he could have run out there today.

NRC Rnd 6: QLD Country v NSW Country

Eagles pay the price for 'resting' players. Seriously. It's a 9 week comp. There's no need for resting or rotating. Play your best every week. If the guys on the fringes want in then they have to force their way in.

NRC Rnd 6: QLD Country v NSW Country

Yeah. The changes to the lineup hasn't clicked for the Eagles. Very disjointed.

NRC Rnd 6: QLD Country v NSW Country

I think someone asked where the Holmes brothers were when the squads were announced having not see any sign of them in the Rays lineup. Well, we have an answer with Luke wearing an Eagles kit as seen at half time.

NRC Rnd 6: QLD Country v NSW Country

Eagles not looking too interested at the moment. Jersey grabs galore.

NRC Rnd 6: Sydney Rays v Canberra Vikings

I'm sure the second Whitehead see's the team he'll find something to whine about.

    Waratahs 2017

Possessing a strong yet accurate kicking game could really be a feather in his cap. Just at the moment he just seems to be hacking at it with little reward. That and he needs to look to cut back in looking to find support more when space on the flanks is limited insteas of trying to do it all...

    Waratahs 2017

One thing I've noticed this season that has been bothering me quite a bit with Jones. His kicking game. From all reports he has a sizeable boot but he seems to miskick the ball more often than not. He also tends to use the chip or grubber in behind far too often.

    Rumours...

If you're thinking of Super 7s then no. In the early days he suggested an indoor format but that appears to have fallen by the wayside. PRO has sanctioning up unfil the end of 2018 with an option of buying an extension up until 2020. So if another league does emerge it wiill be without...

    Rugby TV Ratings 2016

Considering the NRC sources players from the Shute Shield it's somewhat unlikely. Their respective windows are different to avoid overlap. If whatever remains of a Shute Shieldside played off against an NRC side considering the quality of the competition this season. I doubt it would be...
