    Rd 9: Brumbies v Hurricanes, Napier - Friday 21st April 5:30pm AEST

It's not the red card that resets the count. It's facing the judicary. You have to go face them after a red card or three yellows in the season. BB was up after his red card Don't think it makes much difference. He's not going to be suspended for technical penalties like deliberate knock-downs.

9 Genia 10 Foley 11 Hunt 12 Beale 13 Kurindrani 14 DHP 15 Folau Numbers on the back don't matter too much. But that gives you a couple of kicking options and lots of attack. Hunt given a roaming commission to enter the backline if Foley or Beale are elsewhere. In defence Beale, Hunt...

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

Salary range of $40 to $50k. That will be a bit of a lifestyle change for a former Wallaby. Good on him. Tassie is the place to do it!

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

Shout out to The_Wookie who runs the footyindustry.com website. An amazing resource of Aussie broadcast info which appears to have been curtailed (see the website for more info) I really appreciated the effort you put in over the years mate, and rating discussion here and all over the internet...

    Waratahs 2017

We'll have to rename it the Folau rule when they change the rules for him next year

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

Definitely a factor. I think Foxtel make about 25% of their revenue from advertising (give or take). Just not as big a factor as for FTA

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

Bit different for pay TV as the viewer/subscriber is the primary customer rather than advertisers for free to air. Looking at these numbers though - it's plaib to see why we're not getting to much FTA interest - and same goes for ALeague, which I think is actually being outrated by rugby since...

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

Sat arvo games (especially Easter weekend!) normally rate terribly but the trade off is you normally get a decent crowd 11,336 at Suncorp. Still better than the 5000 odd that turned up to Loftus for Bulls v Jags

2017 TV ratings and crowd figures

@MediaweekAUS: Sat STV #SuperRugby #FoxSports #REBvBRU 55k, #BLUvHUR 44k, #REDvKIN 30k 30k is pushing the limits of having no-one on the rating panel actually watching the whole game through.... Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

DP up to 4th Handling errors 7 - Nabuli 4 - QC (Quade Cooper) Hunt is 4th in the comp but QC (Quade Cooper) is 9th which is pretty...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Presumably they would get the same amount of funding as all of the other licence holders from the broadcast share - around $4m a year. They'll have to negotiate whether they get the additional funds that the other unions get, and if they will be front loaded like the Rebels. They would get...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Looking at the Waratahs - their successful 2014 season was based on a annual revenue of $19.5 million, of which the ARU contributed $4.2m So the one successful Super Rugby team we've had recently, came up with $15m from other sources in their victorious year. In the same year, the RugbyWA...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Think they are seperate issues Stoff. RWA sold the Force IP to the ARU. The ARU own that now. The alliance agreement is that the ARU will fund and operate a professional team from Perth. RWA still hold the Super rugby licence but have an agreement that the operations will be run by the ARU and...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So ARU continue to employ the players, staff and coaches? Or does that revert to Own the Force, or to the "existing" Western Force? Would the Own the Force entity have to fund any shortfall in the annual operations of the team? Does it make any difference to any associated legal challanges...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Is this right? RugbyWA currently own the operating licence for the Super Rugby team The ARU own the Western Force intellectual property ARU currently employ the Western Force players, coaches and staff Own the Force would Acquire the Super Rugby licence, which would be given up by RugbyWA Buy...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

They stopped reporting the directors remuneration in 2015 I think In 2014 they elected to forgo 100% of their salary - and that might still be the case? Chairman was on $40k and directors on $20k before that

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Are the directors of the ARU still volunteering to forgo their pay like they were the last couple of years? Is Clyne doing this for free at the moment?

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

The ARU receives funding grants from the government (Australia Sports Commission and other places) based on the governments participation criteria, as well as the high performance side of things for sevens. $2.7m last year The ARU report against those criteria - which is why you don't see the...
