Reds v Kings last week was the lowest up there too.

Nah mate, your theory completely crumbles when you look at the current players. QC (Quade Cooper), Will Skelton, Dean Mumm are all born in Auckland and are hard as an overcooked ANZAC bikkie

How long does a hard bred kiwi need to be in Australia before they become soft? Does it happen instantaneously it is there a half life? Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Seems like a good strategic move from nine to pressure CA ensure they land Big Bash at the right price this time round Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Sydney clubs - funding and relationships

As an aside - now we know the revenue the NPRF brings is $880k, and the charge ($33.75 for seniors for the sake of the argument - I believe NSW don't charge schools or U14) we can work out the number of registered players above U14 in NSW. Its around 26,000 Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Sydney clubs - funding and relationships

Just goes to annual revenue, so everything that the NSWRU (or any of state unions) spends their money on. I guess you could say it goes to the community rugby expenses - but that's much more than the fee generates so fairly meaningless, other than just employing development officers and running...

Sydney clubs - funding and relationships

All of the national participation fee now goes to the state unions general revenue pool. ARU doesn't keep any anymore It's $0.9m (I initally said $1.4m) in the NSWRU annual report that you referred to earlier. Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Equally as bad. But no-one ever suggests that there might be a NRL team in Adelaide Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

The city breakdowns are always interesting. We don't get them for rugby cause we never rate anywhere near high enough, but the Sydney/Melbourne League/AFL still rings very true, at least on Fox. It's always interesting to see how bad the league does in Perth. Like 1k bad (which is literally one...

Having said all of that, if you are going to look for a new coach, now is the time to do it. No point waiting until July when all of the euro and Japanese teams have their coaching setups sorted for 2018. Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

We retain our coaches for the same reason we have 100 players overseas. We can't afford to match the market rate for international standard pros. The pool of potential replacements that a super rugby team can actually afford is usually no better than the incumbent Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Will be interesting to see what they do with it. Older viewers would riot on the streets if they changed the Sat night on the main channel. It already wins most Sat nights. So that means football on either ABC2 or Me, neither of which have huge "in-built" audiences. Should do better than the...

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

Foxtel onsell the rights to the Super Rugby replay on Ten and all of the Wallaby games so they could probably do it if the price was right and they wanted it to happen. Having said that I don't think there's any desire for just about anyone (commercially) to make a live simulcast of Super Rugby...

    Rd 9: Brumbies v Hurricanes, Napier - Friday 21st April 5:30pm AEST

Kepu had a late hit yellow card as well The regulations start with a one week suspension for repeated offenses - unless there was no foul/ dangerous play. BB meets that second criteria. Kepu doesn't. I agree BB should have been a penalty try and very cynical. Not going to get him suspended...
