I don’t understand the logic of Petaia playing 15. It would seem to me the worst spot for his abilities out of 15, 13 or wing.

Individual Insurance has, IMO been extremely damaging to competition viability. Certainly in my area at least.

Insurance is paid as a seperate component, so I’m not sure how that could be right.

I take my hat off to you - you have a level of faith that makes Mother Theresa look like an atheist. If there is a plan for success amongst the current set up, it’s well disguised.

Well, yeah, I guess - if you keep handing up possession and field position to your opposition then you’ll probably take some focus off your line out. Personally I’d like them to look for an alternate solution.

I’m not advocating for To'omua at 10 - but both Foley & Beale did exactly the same thing. It appears to be a coaching strategy - albeit a shit one.

And they are already paying for Hunt if he doesn’t go. At least this way they can reduce some of his carrying cost.

I thought it had been established that Hunt wouldn’t be getting a run.

Kuridrani was routinely criticised for his defensive decision making early in his career and has now become a very assured defender. Kerevi’s decision making has improved. And it should be noted that anyone who can improve in the current Australian system is doing something right. By the same...

Looks a solid enough highlights reel - and happy for them to be resourceful to fill any gaps in the roster - but surely 13 is the position we have best covered? Even if he also covers wing, I'm not sure he is on the shopping list.

I can live with that. Samoa isn’t in our pool at the WC are they?

Certainly sounds worth consideration on that review

Dempsey has been a bit so/so for mine - although I note plenty of others thought he was good in the last game. But I really think he was thrown in it. For the second year he has had most of the year out injured and gets thrown in to test rugby with minimal prep. That’s a very tough ask - and I...

Plus he is quick, has a great boot, reads play. I guess in my assessment be possibly benefits from having not had to have played substantial minutes - players just aren’t going to look as good in a team that is struggling - but I am still not sure why we wouldn’t have wanted to give him more...

Yeah - I find that one pretty hard too. I would have loved Banks to be given a more substantial shot. I really think he looks the goods. The only thing I can come up with - and this is pretty abstract - but with our lack of depth at 10 & Hodge having previously been viewed as back up there and...

On the plus side, we may be able to balance the squad a bit better if we can pick up someone Super rugby ready at 15 who can cover 10. Not sure there would actually be any uncontracted at this stage - but hopefully we can come up with one.

You appear to have missed Rory Arnold Reg, in both the selected group and the group left out. If he has another Super rugby season like this one I believe he will make the cut. Also, I am backing Banks to make the cut - although that does depend on him jumping someone like Maddocks in the...

    Australia v England

I really don’t understand our defence. Our attack is poorly constructed - but I can at least see what they are trying to achieve (except the kicks down the middle of the field) even if I think they are chasing fools gold. But I fail to see any rational reason why our defence system has...

    1. Coleman That’s all I’m giving out.

A couple of random reflections - - for all the criticism of Folau one thing I noticed in this game is how our kicking game is letting him down. The number of times that he positioned himself for a well placed kick and the kick was off target. - our set piece has deteriorated badly - I don’t see...
