The guessing game: return of Vickerman

One of the things not mentioned is that he has had nearly three years of high intensity rest. All sorts of good things happen when you do that. Ligaments tend to self-repair a bit for example. He may well come back a lot less injury-prone than we all think. As long as he does some high...

Have you ever lost "respect" for your favourite players?

Is this like "I wouldn't want to be a member of any club that would accept me?"

    Reel him in WJ! :fishing

    wallabies definitly in starting side?

She's quite tall then. :) He's a big lad. I hope you're right about "fit and well", we need him bad!

    Wallaby Injuries

Good. If its just a stinger he'll recover quickly. It looked to me like he'd done his shoulder and once they go you usually end up in surgery sooner or later. Whatever comes we have excellent back-up there in Hodgson. His play for the Force at 7 was outstanding, positively Pocock-esque.

AUSTRALIAN MEDIA NOT HELPING (Including you Scarfman).

This is a very fine post. Everyone who has worked in the upper levels of an organisation knows that the top manager sets the tone for those below him. Those who don't toe the line are slowly weeded out by the system or remain blind-sided and are regarded as dangerous mavericks. That's what...

Has Woodencock been cited or not?

Poor choice of words on my part, I did not mean to directly accuse you of lying. The issue I was raising was that Dean Mumm was yellow carded for a tackle in the S14, round 1. It was similar in nature to Woodcock's, but not as blatant. He was subsequently cited and banned for two weeks. So a...

Has Woodencock been cited or not?

The Dean Mumm incident from the Reds/Tahs game puts the lie to this nonsense. For a similar but lesser grade offence Mumm was yellow carded. He was then cited and banned for two weeks. So yellow card offences can be cited. Major Raggerly should watch a bit more than NZ only games and he...

    50 metre race

Sorry to let the facts get in the way of a good rant but there is another thread on the forum with a recent picture sans shirt. If that's fat then Reddy is a Tah's supporter, which he's not.

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Yeah. They both use dark blue as the major colour. Apart from that I don't see it.

    Dwyer speaks truth

Scarfy, That video is a legend and deserved every one of the 20,000 hits. Pity some of those who took exception don't have a clue and the others looked at them through black-tinted glasses.

Wallabies 3-2-1 vs All Blacks, Chch.

    3. Pocock 2. Beale 1. Sharpe Honorable mentions to Saia F and Mitchell. Those five all deserved points. Dishonorable mentions to JOC (James O'Connor), Ant F, Giteau, Genia, Brown and Maafu Kaplan was a disgrace.

My Wallaby Ratings - V All Blacks Chrischurch 07/08/2010

Saia should have been a 7 or 8. He played really well. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) should get at least 6, his defence was good and he suffered a bit because AF couldn't set him up well in attack. AF didn't have a great debut but he should stay on the bench and develop. He is definitely not a write-off. Genia...

Wallabies v All Blacks Christchurch Sat 7 August, 2010

Various thoughts: The Wallabies obviously spent a lot of time this week on restarts and stuff at the expense of having a proper attack plan. Things were very one dimensional. Beale had a cracker of a game. I am a great fan of his but I think he is playing out of position and I was...

Wallabies v All Blacks Christchurch Sat 7 August, 2010

What can you say that hasn't already been said? Repeating ad nauseum that we may see more application in the tackle this week and maybe a bit more skills work but we are unlikely to get a win with the current All Black skills supremacy, the weather and Kaplan intervening. It is pretty...

Maybe if you support one of the other franchises but not if you support the Waratahs. His bias is legendary. His record reffing australia is better but IMO inside the game he doesn't handle us well. He referees us very aggressively, perhaps as a first strike strategy to avoid us getting...

Wallabies v All Blacks Christchurch Sat 7 August, 2010

Back in the 70's, 80's and early 90's maybe, but they've been awfully average lately.

    Drew Mitchell - not suspended

I have a suspicion that Gnostic was recalling POB's treatment of Dickinson after the Italy-All Blacks test last year. Perhaps the irony was lost in translation.

That's because they are a very good team, verging on greatness.

I rate Flynn, Franks, Vito and Mathewson. Mathewson has been the best performed half back in NZ this year. Whitelock and Cruden will be very good one day. Stanley is a bit of a mystery because they don't seem to have much cover for 11, 14 and 15. If Mils is injured Jane goes there but...
