    Australian Rugby / RA

Was a fairly ridiculous introduction to the game wasn't it "Welcome to the Intrust Shute Shield Bang Olafson Grand Final presented by Charter Hall" You do what you have to do to pay the bills.......

    Where to for Super Rugby?

As an example, if the sunwolves make way for the force, who do you reckon will have to cop most of the loss of Japanese broadcasting fees? Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

    Where to for Super Rugby?

There's likely no penalties. But the invitation for next year will be for 4 Australian teams in a 15 team comp with an agreed split of broadcast money. To change that will require unanimous agreement from all 4 SANZAAR nations. Would they do it, what concessions they will require from the ARU...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Jones doesn't exactly like John Eales going on at least 10 years http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/wallabies-legend-john-eales-very-overrated-says-radio-personality-alan-jones-20141021-119lfs.html Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

    The Rugby Championship 2017

Where are Argentina at? Just two wins from 13 in the last year, against Japan and Georgia. Ranked 10th in the world behind Fiji Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Rob Simmons' side but have a look at how AAA is setting up if you can get a replay. He's not bending his legs and has hips above his shoulders almost from the start of every scrum. As has been said it's a bit strange cause he normally goes OK. Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

You're right, but if the ABs don't get a good result straight off that scrum then it's going to be a penalty try and yellow card so I don't think we can feel too hard done by Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Quick look at Folau's positioning Mid-field scrum Setup is fairly conventional. Foley, Beale with DHP back away from the ball and kurindrani and Speight on the half's side with Izzy at the back. As soon as it's clear which direction the ball is going, Izzy sprints to the wing with DHP swing to...

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Speight was defending open side wing at most of the stoppages, outside of Kurindrani (see pendulum above). Izzy then further outside him when we were close to our line. When we were defending a large blindside, Kurindrani went to the blindside wing for the 1-on-1, with Speight outside of Beale...

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

Yep, 5 tries, one held up, and the knock on against the post plus the penalty try and Hanigan which should have been and at least one scrum before TPN came on where we were very lucky getting away with a collapse in the 5m line. Let through lots of opportunities again Still, better Sent from...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Test matches, a SS game in Sydney and the odd replay of Super rugby is pretty much all we've ever had, and pretty much all we can ever expect I reckon Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

CBS has bought Ten, not the Murdochs/Fox as was anticipated by most. Probably not great news for Rugby as they won't be looking for the cross-promotion opportunities Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

I wonder if there is a correlation between Foley doing a shitload of defence in the front line, and his inaccurate goal kicking. Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Was that at the lineout? I was pretty sure Simmons went off for Rodda and Arnold stayed on. We definatly saw Simmons on the bench after that. Having said that - stats sites have Simmons playing 80

ABs had a much stronger front row this week with Coles and Laulala

Wallabies v All Blacks Saturday 26th August at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin

5 tries conceded, ABs disallowed (just!) two more times and a penalty try not given for Hanningan getting in the way. Definatley better, but there's still some issues to work through there.....
