    Brumbies 2019

I'm not sure I would've rated Kuridrani that highly this year.......... He was generally pretty good to excellent, and while he finished the year as the best performing outside centre in the country, he wasn't the best in the competition, whereas AAA and Arnold have been the few Aussies...

    The Rugby Championship 2019

Although Fainga'a hasn't played much test footy, the other options are Latu and Uelese, the former having only played a few more tests, and the latter only coming off the bench twice......... I think Latu is lucky to be there, and there's always a brain explosion waiting around the...

I assume you mean backup hooker because it's currently Fainga'a, daylight, somebody who's not Fainga'a............ And a similar situation at no 8 with Naisarani.

I would’ve had Ala'alatoa or Arnold as player of the season.......... Two of the most influential, and consistently best players throughout the year.

The other problem with stats is, the SANZAAR stats are completely different to wherever you sourced yours from............. eg. it has DHP making far less tackles than Banks, with a worse success rate.

He would still be eligible for test rugby overseas, so I doubt that's a factor into his retirement..........

I thought Maddocks capitalised on all of the great work being done early in the year by Genia, Cooper, and Meakes, who created a tonne of space out wide for him to stroll over almost untouched.........

It might be a tendency among halfbacks, but I can’t say I've noticed Powell arguing with referees or misusing penalties? And McCaffrey won’t be a guaranteed starter.........

    Brumbies 2020

It was a bit different with Mowen as it was a complete team overhaul with new coaches and largely new playing squad......... In saying that I certainly wouldn't discount Samu for the reasons listed above. I wouldn't consider White as he's not a guaranteed starter with Powell.

    Brumbies 2020

I believe AAA has been part of the leadership group at the Brumbies, and Wallabies........... He generally has to play 60-70 mins too........... But IMO props as captain doesn't work. Sorry fatties......... not sorry.

    Brumbies 2020

The other big question, along with who will play flyhalf next year, is who is going to captain the team? Lilo, Carter and Pocock gone.......... Based on the experienced players remaining, Joe Powell would have to be a strong favourite, although if Nic White signs on that could be a...

    Super Rugby POTY (Aussie)

Those same 3 being the only Aussies in the ESPN and Fox Sports teams of the year as well......... They were definitely the standouts of the Aussie teams. Edit: just saw that rugby.com.au also had Sio, Fainga’a, Hooper, Lilo and Banks on their reserves bench. Maybe being a little generous...

Yep, I think it was largely as expected, and there's a couple of the contentious/surprise selections that will likely be cut when some players return from injury............ Hooker is tricky - although Fainga'a was heads and shoulders above everyone else this year, he's still only 23 and in the...
