From what I've seen he's exclusively played in the centres the last few years, and he no longer has the pace for an outside back.......... and let's not even entertain the option of him being a backup flyhalf. So I reckon his utility factor is now limited......... probably not as useful as...

True, although players like Pocock, Gill, Smith etc. generally demonstrate much better technique over the ball, wheras Latu rarely supports his body weight - usually has his knees resting on the tackled players, or arms/elbows on the ground.

He'll probably prove me wrong due to his freakish ability to come back from lengthy spells and be the best player in the team.......... But............ I'm not confident his selection in a RWC squad could be justified on one game prior to the tournament.

He's often not supporting his body weight, which is common among players of his stature that like to attack the ball, and he's been lucky to have not been penalised more in the past............. But I agree that it's something he's more likely to get pinged for going forward.

The scoring system also seems a little......... subjective.
