    Uni vs Wicks

Oh yes, there is a head band, saw him adjusting it after the try he did, looks like the ones some long haired guys wear when they play soccer but this one looks thicker and tighter.

    Uni vs Wicks

Agreed. Did you see Carter's antics earlier in the game, I thought maybe he had rabies, then they ping McGann for something Carter went on with - surely they can just let that small stuff go. Frustrating to watch for a neutral, would be pulling my hair out if I was a Wicks fan.

Newcastle/Hunter Rugby Union Comp GF Scores

Yeah I was there and it certainly looked like a decent crowd, last years derby Merewether vs Wanderers had to be close to 10000. Luke Burgess is a former Maitland black too I believe. "Premier Rugby" P1, P2, P3 and Pcolts are all on the same day and are the last GF, A grade/B Grade/C Grade had...

Newcastle/Hunter Rugby Union Comp GF Scores

We love our Rugby here in Newie shame we always get the 'league town' tag, it's not the only part of the landscape.

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

Completely agree. For those questioning the talent coming out of the ARS I’m not saying the ARS wouldn’t create talent but I don’t think that’s the main concern for a lot of people like me who want it back. It’s more about the poor long suffering Rugby communities in regional/rural areas...

Newcastle/Hunter Rugby Union Comp GF Scores

Hunter/Newcastle Comp Senior Rugby Scores For any ex/current novacastrians, or anybody really, this is how it went down in Newie. (some scores not present, memory a bit fuzzy, certainly remember who won though) Premier 1 Hamilton 39 defeated Maitland 34 Premier 2 Hamilton defeated...

Even our semipro's are better than hayne.... :-P

Its the League forum on sportal, actually they were probably the most critical of GI. I stumbled upon it whilst looking for the actual line up and odds for the race. http://forum.sportal.com.au/yaf_postst75719_Australias-fastest-footballer-Gatorade-Bolt.aspx

Even our semipro's are better than hayne.... :-P

In a show that includes jet skiing? yeah thats pretty sports specific to any footy code.....

Even our semipro's are better than hayne.... :-P

This is too funny. I was on a league forum prior to the race and there was not a real lot of talk about Lachie, and plenty of John Grant who? comments. Lots of talk about Hayne and Inglis then straight after the race the forum was flooded with about 50 bitching, whinging comments in only a few...

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

I’m from Newcastle so could be different in Sydney & elsewhere but with women’s rugby funding it should go into setting up women’s/girls rugby comps. Expanding the existing school girl comp but also introduce U19s, U17s, etc at club level cause that’s where the heart of the game is. It’s either...

IRB Fine ARU for Haka Disrespect

Here's the link to the womens world cup game http://www.rwcwomens.com/video/index.html for anyone that wants to see the Wallaroos when they walked forward (at around 00:08:22, may need to download silverlight or whatever its called). Note they advertise briefly the Kazackstan (spell check) game...

The Wallaroos - Women's RWC Thread

Trethowan made some good runs, McGann's kicking and Watsons throws were not helped due to the wind. I agree with BRIX about the all ferns getting away with murder but what do you expect when you have the woman who helped send 2 of us to the bin in the last game (she was the touchy who had one of...

The Wallaroos - Women's RWC Thread

With all the talk in the mens game around contracts & switching to league I think the blokes are more likely to sing ABBA's "MONEY MONEY MONEY".

The Wallaroos - Women's RWC Thread

For the insomniacs like myself this is a link to the IRB womens world cup website live stream video below (some may need to download Microsoft silverlight to view, I did, very easy). Its just for those of us outside the Eire & UK who want to watch some of the games live. The Aus vs NZ game will...

The Wallaroos - Women's RWC Thread

I'll be watching the games on Fox 2 although I'll know the result as they are repeats. I agree it is great & refreshing to see players playing for the love of the game. The women's rugby has a system where it's players can be from anywhere in Australia, come from any school whether it be public...
