RWC 2019 New Zealand vs Italy

There seems to be a 'holier than thou' element creeping into some recent posts.

NRC Round 7: Fiji Drua v QLD Country

Harry Wilson, although shining very brightly at the U20s, has been a relatively unknown star of the NRC. Not many unknowns in this squad who impressed more than they would have been expected. ??

NRC Round 7: Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising

Coming to the end of NRC, it might be timely to record the players who previously were not well known but who stood up during this tournament. For Brisbane, I'd nominate Sam Wallis, Seru Uru and Jordan Luke. Any others?

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Dan, people might rant about the poor timing as it has turned out, but your post is really just another rave about how all the administrators get it right all of the time and that they should not be held accountable for anything that goes wrong. It seems to be a theme in many of your posts. To...

    Rugby World Cup 2019

I wonder, just how much climate change might be pushing back the number and ferocity of typhoons to later in the year?

    Global Rapid Rugby

6 matches home and away for 2020? Does that indicate only four teams in GRR 2020?

    Proposed Nations Championship

None of the proposed limits would allow George Smith to play for his home nation (Tonga?). I thought that was the main reason for the discussion?;)

    RWC Week 4 matches

Nah. He is Kerevi with a pass, but his passes go to ground or forward. He is ineffective in those aspects.

    RWC Week 4 matches

Very weak performance all round. Very over-rated in his later years.

Penalty try Fiji. Where's the YC?

    RWC Week 4 matches

Take a line through the 5m line in Wales' second try. Davies passes almost on the line, while the winger takes it only 2 - 3 m from the try line. More forward than the one Fiji got called back for.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

I largely agree with all of that FP, but Kepu wasn't all that strong at scrum time against Uruguay. How the Wallabies won a scrum penalty when Keps was traveling backwards at some pace was mystifying to me.

    Waratahs 2020

Malalua (?) at the Reds is another case now that he has represented his home country (Samoa?). To further muddy the waters, that's two No 9s in the four Aussie Super teams.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

I have been disappointed with Kepu's scrumming, probably for most of the year, but certainly in the RWC games he's played. And he is just not half the force he used to be in open play, so on both counts I don't see him as being superior to Tupou atm. I would rather see TT on the bench for the...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

Couldn't agree more on Beale and JOC (James O'Connor) at 10. If Kerevi simply runs the ball again and doesn't look to pass to his supports when in the open, then I hope To'omua has the sense and ability to pass wide to JOC (James O'Connor) and bypass Kerevi so that there is a chance the ball will get to Petaia and Koroibete on...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

Still looks like there is some experimentation going on in an effort to determine the best starters and combinations for the QF. Wouldn't be totally surprised to see Foley start or on the bench at No 9 to give one of White/Genia a rest.

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Yep. Arnold, Pocock and Christian will all be missed. On the topic of second rowers, I thought Nick Frost put in easily his best performance on the weekend. Good signs for a year or two down the track.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

I thought Tupou was excellent when he came on and needs to be on the Wallaby bench for all the big games coming up, maybe even start against Georgia. Jordan Petaia lived up to expectations but he was limping just before half time, and then sitting on the bench with his hammy in ice. Maybe a...

NRC Rd 6: Canberra Vikings v Sydney, 12pm 5 October

Based on this year's Super form, it will be hard leaving Jahrome Brown out of the 15. Best pilferer left in the team imo.
