Coming to the end of NRC, it might be timely to record the players who previously were not well known but who stood up during this tournament.

For Brisbane, I'd nominate Sam Wallis, Seru Uru and Jordan Luke. Any others?

Who are these rising players? Never heard of the whole backline.

McReight out is a massive loss.

They're all proper Dewar Shield players which is great (except for Sooialo I think).

10. Iona is a journey man capped for Samoa, played for Brumbies once or twice and recently WF. Started off the season badly but been decent recently.

11. Ahmu Tuimalealiifano is a youngish winger/13 who's been around the edges of the Rebels for a while. Played for u23 Samoa at the most recent JRWC. I rate him, good step and hits hard for his size.

12. James Sooialo is also a capped Samoan player, was a handy fullback for the championship winning Unicorns this year, great place kicker, really been kicking well recently.

13. William Lewesi a pretty large human, got wheels. Plays wing with Sooialo at the Unicorns, scores a lot of tries.

14. Lolohea Loco don't know much about Loco, young winger who played for the Broncos when the lost to the Unicorns in the GF.

15. Justin Marsters has been around for a while, Melbourne raised. Playing for Harlequins normally, been rated for a while but never really kicked on. I think he now plays for West Harbour in Sydney.

City much, much better than Rising. Melbourne's been caught out defensively a few too many times and needs to convert its pressure. Lucas is good fun to watch.

This Rising front row is absolutely spanking City. Demolition job. Maybe Rebels shouldn't have let Faulkner go.

Rising should be leading by now, can't convert pressure into points. BC hasn't had a look in this 2nd half. Leota has been rocks and diamonds so far, some good runs and great hits but coughs it up too much. Luke Jones looks to be the best for the Rebels, seems to have a smart rugby mind, picks his lines well. Don't mind Loco in the backs, but the rest of them have been pretty poor.

Lucas good for BC, with Paisami too. Zander nice in defence but monstered at scrum time.
