    Bledisloe IV 2010 Hong Kong

I'm quietly confident. We're on a good trajectory and have Alexander back.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

I forgot the rolling eyes smiley.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Edmonds for Charles is a disappointing choice. What does Robbie see in him that no one else in Australian rugby does? Oh well, the rain suits seagulls. Humphreys for Douglas will please the Reds brigade, and I guess he will be the forwards leader for the midweek games, but Douglas would have...

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Joe Mac asked: I was responding to that. I'm pleased that everyone agrees with me, but felt it was due courtesy to answer the question. :)

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

I'm a bit shocked by this sentiment to replace Hodgson with anyone from sevens. Remember Hodgson's actual performances in Super rugby this year! No performance by any sevens player in this tournament is in the same league, even against comparatively minimal opposition.

He's certainly added some bulk. He was virtually a boy last year.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Well, Link does only mention Reds players in that article, and no one else. When he was with the Waratahs, he only ever mentioned Waratahs players. I remember his oft-stated case for Frier starting for the Wallabies. So yes, involving him with the Wallabies would greatly increase the number of...

    Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s

It's ridiculous. Rugby is a mainstream sport. They should put the dwarf throwing or synchronised apple dunking on delay instead.

    Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s

I'm flabbergasted too! Not even a mention of the rugby on Channel 10! Does Fox have an exclusive?!?

World XV (Or Earth's XV, Terran XV, whatever you like)

To be honest, grubster, there have been sustained periods in world rugby where the ABs have had the best in most positions, so Fitzy's view is not always an unreasonable one.

World XV (Or Earth's XV, Terran XV, whatever you like)

I didn't know about the 2003 claim! I remember the 2007 world team one well as I was in London at the time, watching him live on Sky.

World XV (Or Earth's XV, Terran XV, whatever you like)

Sean Fitzpatrick famously claimed, just before the 2007 World Cup, that at that time no player from any other team could make the All Blacks. In my experience, this is how many AB fans think, much of the time. When presented with the idea of a given foreign player displacing a current All...

So grubster, are we back to the usual Kiwi supporter position now, which is that there are no non-Kiwi players good enough to make a world XV?

    Uni vs Wicks

I think every administration has looked at that in one way or another. The ELVs were at least in part an attempt to shift the balance form defence back to attack. Sadly, the northern hemisphere unions declined to act.

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

Good post, grubster. Strategically, the Wallabies must have benefited from this hard year.

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

Nau, Alexander, Horwill and Palu are definite starters, and are a direct answer to the deficiencies of the Wallabies of this year, which is a lack of power. Ioane would also start on the wing in place of JOC (James O'Connor).

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

    Nonsense. You are obviously trolling.

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

The difference is that none of the missing ABs are key players, with the possible exception of Sivi. In fact none of them may get a game when they are fit. The missing Wallabies are the backbone of the team.

Ma'afu is not in the same class as Baxter as a scrummaging tight head, let alone as good.

World XV (Or Earth's XV, Terran XV, whatever you like)

farva, I can recall three injuries. There was an ankle he suffered (I think) in the final of the U19 RWC that delayed his progress in the Waratahs, and which was the result of a hyper-extension I think. There was his shoulder last year, which seemed to be the result of him simply hitting too...
