Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

I think that is certainly helping. He has a good spine of hard workers building around him which is freeing him up more to manage the game. Good signs. Long way to go but good signs.

Funny that you completely missed their heads clashing in the contact. Focusing on the barely there contact with the shoulder.

Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

Again, the contact only came after the Argentine players head jutted forward after the initial contact which was at collar bone level and did not ride up. I don't like seeing someone out cold on the ground especially if it were from actions beyond the spirit of the game but that was not the case...

Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

He made contact with the torso first and didn't ride up. Look at the replay. Shoulder hits at collar bone level. The Argentine players head then juts forward into the top of his shoulder. There was no intent nor anything after the hit to constitute even accidental contact initiated by Koribete...

Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

Okay, this may not be overly popular as an opinion but I tend to think Hooper is growing into a good leader and captain. I watched a YouTube clip recently that featured a study conducted by an American Academic. He looked into teams that essentially had their own respective 'dynasties'. The...

Don't forget TPN. He had a noticeable big game as well.

Australia v Argentina 7 Oct 2017 in Mendoza

Considering we left 13 points on the the pitch from missed kicks I'm not too displeased by that performance. At no stage in the 2nd half did I truly believe Argentina were really in with a shout. That's not me being arrogant either. We just seemed to be in control for about 35 of the 2nd 40...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

I personally think that this would be the most ideal professional structure for the game. Has a full season of the NRC or some iteration of it for no more than 16 weeks before moving on to the IPRC involving the top 4 sides from the NRC, Mitre 10 Cup, Top League and four from Asia. Four pools of...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Our current four plus a reintroduced Force and the addition of the Drua. From there. Add in both country squads based out of two of the larger regional centres in both NSW and Queensland. There's your initial 8. We could either play each other twice for 14 games or do as the A-League and NBL do...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

The Sunwolves can be in NZ's conference. We'll take the Drua. But yeah, that would work.

NRC 2017 Round 4: Melbourne Rising vs Greater Sydney Rams 24/09

That's the key. Making sure they grow the right way. Both look pretty mobile from everything I've seen so far.

Ha'angana is the big lock right? If so, imagine how big he'll be when he finishes growing.

NRC 2017 Round 4: Melbourne Rising vs Greater Sydney Rams 24/09

Just watched a feature about his return this weekend on FB. Completely forgot he did his knee last season and was wondering why we hadn't seen him this season. How's he going out there? Also, what happened to Harley Fox?

    NRC onwards and upwards

Honestly, I'm hoping that 'Twiggyball' takes the current NRC structure and just adds a few teams to bring it to 12. I tend to think that it would provide a solid structure to build and grow from.

Anyway, on the performances of the Drua so far. Hopefully, they are all the encouragement World Rugby to look to set a combined team Samoa/Tonga/PI team based somewhere in Australia or a nearby island.

Well, they can at the very least lift the geo-blocking BS.
