    Waratahs 2015

What has he improved in 4 years? If you look at the last 3 annual reports,it is hard to identify any area of improvement. My understanding is that any "increase" in memberships is solely due to changing definitions of what constitutes a member. There certainly appears no increase in membership...

Who was supporting Foley? They won 4 games all year and lost the last 8 straight. Even Foley was floating the idea that he go back to being the forwards coach the following year.

FFS, he reappointed Foley then Foley walked away. If Plan A had worked we would be fucked. If you recall Allens handling over the appointment of his senior marketing guru was a clusterfuck as well. I'm also betting he was a spectator in the recruitment of Izzie. He got Hoops? Please!

    Qld Ctry v Rams — Thurs 18th Sept — @ Ballymore

True, I was being a bit cryptic about blaming one person. The Reds problem this year was defence not attack. The 2014 Reds scored more points than 2013 Reds, despite winning 1/2 as many games. The problem was they conceded almost 200 more points than the previous year.

    Player Movements Shute Shield 2015

Nope, I'd hope the ARU pay the ABC whatever they need to continue the coverage(within reason). Losing free to air coverage would be a huge blow to the sport.

    Melbourne Rising 2014

To be fair to the Stars, they opted to go alone before it had been decided where super players would play. Had it been up to the players choice,I think the stars would be a lot stronger at the expense of the rising. But I'm not losing any sleep over it.

The Transition from Schoolboy Rugby to Colts - Is there a better way?

Yeah, me too. I thought the idea was to have an 18's in addition to the 3 colts grades, not instead of thirds. How does this help U17's kids who are struggling to find both a local team and a reasonable comp to play in?

We were close to conceding an unsatisfying draw.

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

Well yeah, I am saying that if you are going to give it,then cop like a man when it comes back. If players want to give the ref advice, then retire and buy a flag. Otherwise shut the fuck up. Just look at half a game of League.its got to the stage where they have 2 refs,2 touch judges,a video...

All Blacks vs Springbokke @ Wellington

Nah,I'm with Blue on this. The AB's have perfected the art, everyone else is just taking hints of them. If you are going to bend the rules, shut the fuck up if you think someone else is doing it. It's like cricketers that don't walk when they know they are out,who then complain when others don't walk.

RIP Test Rugby on the Gold Coast

All good points. Maybe another issue is the Puma's inability to attract interest. I know I will generally plan things around Test matches, but not so much the Puma's. My impression is that Tests with them are usually either scrappy or dour. Casual Rugby followers I know consider the Puma's to be...

RIP Test Rugby on the Gold Coast

In regard to the disappointing crowd, let's remember that the weather was not ideal and TV viewing numbers were even more disappointing. If people in Other cities can't be bothered to watch it on TV,then logic suggests that any venue would struggle to attract a satisfactory crowd.

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

I was just responding to the point that we were in free fall before Link's arrival. I'm not a critic, just not a disciple that thinks he is the oracle. I think we vary from top 2 to top 4 team, and when all the stars align,we are number 1. It would be great if they align in a year!

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

Deans last Tests were against the Lions. They lost the series 2-1, after losing the first Test by 2 points, after suffering a series of injuries that required a forward to play in the centres. KB (Kurtley Beale) missed 2 shots at goal that would would have won it. I put that performance ahead of this last Test...

Player Distribution in Australia and the Potential for a Draft

You can't have a draft,if A) you don't have a competition in which to play them. And B) you pay them less than tuck shop money. C) What about the kids that have secured an apprenticeship locally,or scraped into a local university, but their marks won't get them a start in the area to which they...
