The 2nd 1/2 was an embarrassment, but they looked pretty good in the first 1/2. Just add Quade,Quirk and Horwill and it changes things massively. I think it's too much too soon for McIntyre & Gunn,and I think Shatz is Shitz.

Build his fitness? He has been in a pro program for 4 years, and was playing in a pack where they are all amateurs. I will begrudgingly agree he went ok the other night. In fairness he won the big playing award for his club recently,so his coach is seeing things that I am not.

He has got good hands, and great footwork. Worst tackler in the SS by some margin. Rams can keep him.

I have no love for Crawford this year,but he is 4 grades above BJ. Blake was desperate to find an alternative to him this year. Not at this grade,ever.

Come on Dave,most of those guys couldn't make Marlins 1's this year. I think the biggest problem for the Rays is they have swapped Blake for turtle in the coaching set up.

Have a look at their roster,ignoring Kellaway the rest are much closer to the end of their careers than the start of it. So in terms of development they would not be missed if they were axed next year.

Crawford looked normal. He is a man out of form, if he was picked on performance this year he would struggle to play Marlins 3rd grade. Cheika was all over him in the pre season games with Gen Blue,and it's obvious he has been playing with zero confidence ever since.IMHO

What are they going to do? The Rats only had one move(that they ran repeatedly last night) The Marlins had zero backline moves. Maybe some of the coaches are struggling at this level as well. Certainly some of their selections support this theory.
