RWC QF 4 AUS v SCO (Twickenham) 19th Oct 0200 AEDT

I'd think about putting Poey on the bench to unleash the pooper in the last 20mins. No way I'd leave him out completely in a Quarter-Final

Also, I really like Folau's new tactic where he pretends to be poor under the high ball so now opposition teams will to start to kick it too him more. It will pay dividends in the finals. Well played Folau ;)

WHAT A DEFENSIVE EFFORT! Very impressed with all 13 players on defence. Was absolutely superb. Can't single out one player they were all very good. Douglas is becoming my new favourite lock and doing exactly what he was brought in for. Sio and Kepu continue to scrum well and play well, both...

I agree, in hindsight I think he would have been a better choice then McMahon. I see McMahon getting a lot of wraps here, but I thought he was fairly average. He put 2 great hits on, was great at kick restarts, but his body height on attack was a concern for me. He runs in very high, it works...

Haha.. I'll go with singing. He has played us at 13 last series right? 3rd game?

He's actually not that short, It's an illusion due to his body frame. I think the Tahs state he's 6 foot, same as Poey. Certainly not the height of a normal lock but definitely wouldn't consider him short by normal standards. When he first burst on the scene I swear he was only 5 foot. ;)

I'm happy, North doesn't seem as effective on attack at 13, struggles to get into the game. He's a world class winger but at this stage an average 13 - probably due to lack of experience rather then skill-set. I believe he's already versed us wearing the 13 jersey before?

Nah, To'omua was impressive from the bench and was definitely playing for a spot in the A-team. White, Cooper and Speight I believe would also have pushed their way into the squad with good performances.

I agree with you, but I didn't at the start of the RWC. I had my doubts about Cheika tactically given his super xv season and the failure to grow his Tah-ball strategy. Culturally I never had any doubts but he was easily out-smarted by the Highlanders in the finals - he didn't exactly think...

I think Cheika learned a valuable lesson from Bled 2, don't make unnecessary changes to the structures of a winning team.

Yep 2. Genia needs more protection from his forwards at the ruck, but more importantly needs to execute them quicker. He is simply slow and predictable. When he did manage to get one away it was a beauty that had one bounce before finding touch - so I don't think he needs to completely knock...

I think that relies on having a good scrum. Counter-tactic = spoil the ball in the air then demolish Wales the scrum.

Gee I thought Folau would be out for all money. Hope he's fit and firing, Wales were pretty accurate with their high balls against England, Folau is much needed.

Doesn't sounds like he will play. Beale to 15. Is the team announced today?

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I think the fact it was a ruck makes a difference. Why? Because players are stationary at the ruck, and Hooper comes flying in with a 10 metre run up at full pace. Compare this to Farrell who is attacking moving targets, I think its much easier to get it wrong as you have less time to think...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I agree consistency is woeful. Cooper gets a yellow for a soft head high, Then Burgess does a similar or worse incident and gets nothing. Douglas puts a hit on a player off the ball which I think was similar to Farrells but Farrell gets yellow carded. I think they got it the wrong way...

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

Add their fullback Williams as a danger man and Biggar who can kick goals from anywhere. I think they will be tougher then England.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Pretty poor form from you to think I'm on an anti-Phipps tirade after only 2 posts criticizing his poor form (and following from a very poor Test by him) - especially given I've backed him all year until now. When have I ignored the faults of White? I was the first to criticise his slow...

It works both ways, to be fair. Beale's high ball skills are currently unknown, he hasn't been tested under a high ball in years. Maybe it is a weakness maybe he's good at it, no-one knows!
