    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

I hope you're right, I had to keep him because I ran out of transfers.

    Dave Brockhoff

A very sad day, but the legend will live on.

    Top14 - 2010/11

I note Jeff Wilson from the Highlanders is going to Bourgoin. Surely not the former All Black?

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

Last game of the regular season and last chance to pick the odd performer (like Saffy last week) who will come up trumps for you. Next week its only four teams to choose from, complete wildcards every week and people's teams will look very alike. I like Saffy again this week, Strauss from the...

    Waratahs Player Welfare

People at the Reds have been bleating about how bad their injury list is (and pulling people back from the U20's) but as I see it they have not yet had to dip into their local competition to get through. The Tahs on the other hand have had to scratch around in Shute several times and this week...

    Why is Tom Carter unpickable?

Like the rest of us old farts (respected senior citizens) Bruce is somewhat follically challenged. Any style is better than a Nathan Sharpe.

    Playing at Homebush - why?

A couple of years ago I took the train to Central and the bus to the ground was included in the total price. All you had to do was ask for the special ticket at the train station ticket window.

    Waratahs 2012

More info coming out from Hickey on the Mowen issue. Apparently they only started talking to Rocky after Mowen rejected a two year deal, preferring a one year deal only. Info from Rugby Heaven, but it seems credible.

Tahs vs Brumbies. Give us a hand mate? 2011R18

There had to be one good point about that abominable stadium!

Tahs vs Brumbies. Give us a hand mate? 2011R18

The Blues result will be known 24 hours beforehand, the Reds result two hours before and the Crusaders result minutes before, which may well dictate tactics for the Brumbies game. The Tahs would want to play the Reds, Crusaders or Blues rather than travel to SA. So whether they want to win...

    Waratahs 2012

At the risk of repeating myself. In the four games that he has played since Waugh and McCutcheon were injured he has had two absolute shockers. In both games in SA he missed 7 tackles and made 8. About the only team that sort of performance qualifies you for is the Rebels!

    Western Force 2012

He'll go well in France, totally under-rated scrummager and in the loose. His greatest problem early was to be a flyhalf born with a props body. He's in his prime as a prop now and its sad to be losing him. Broke even with Carl Hayman one year playing for the Tahs, not too many props have...

    Waratahs 2012

No idea what this is doing in the Waratahs 2012 thread. The Waratahs had a huge problem with the availability of Elsom. Clearly Elsom, if fit, is a standout player and a good acquisition. But the list of backrowers already at the Tahs is substantial. Apart from Waugh and Palu, who are now...

    Tahs v Highlanders MOM

The scrum was awesome. Fox records three tight heads, which must be close to a record. The Clan scrum has been average this year compared to previous years but is by no means worst in the comp. 3. Beale. 2. Carter 1. Fuse

    Losing Culture at the Force

This seems to be a key component. But I would also add that they have selected poorly at 10 and 12 this year and while a very good forward pack gives you position and ball, the Force's inability to score tries has been the key problem and this relates to 10/12 effectively converting dominance...

    Waratahs V Highlanders 2011R17

Maybe you're right but Hickey had the chance to play Holmes at 12 earlier in the season when Carter and Barnes were out but chose not to do so.

He doesn't have to aim in at Cipriani, he can just run straight ahead over Huxley.
