    Waratahs V Reds July 13 2013

Would prefer it if Cheika didn't whine about the refs so much. He's done it a few times this year and it doesn't come across well.

    Waratahs V Reds July 13 2013

At the game it was announced that there were 26,035. Seemed to be plenty of Reds supporters in the area I was in.

    For Sale: One Test 10

Agree, but then it was a bit of a mess of a game. The Highlanders rolled over and let the Rebels forward dictate terms in that second half. The Clan looked like a contender for the spoon in that second half. JOC (James O'Connor) did well with the circumstances, but I wouldn't rush to conclusions from it.

Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

First intercept was a set play that McKibbon read. Happened at the ground right in front of me, McKibbon saw Davies out of the corner of his eye and just moved enough to get in the road. Don't know whether it was unlucky for the Reds or a great read from McKibbon, probably a bit of both...

    Waratahs V Reds July 13 2013

Carter hasn't exactly looked like a Super rugby player for Uni vs the Rats, maybe not a bad call by Cheika already.

    Rebels v Highlanders Rd 20

ACR agree, was a huge mess at the end. Lees let players enter everywhere at the breakdown, didn't blow his whistle enough at time. That being said, story of the Clan's season. The Rebels played all of the football at the end. they threw the ball around and the bounce really went their way...

    Waratahs V Reds July 13 2013

I'll be be there in my Reds gear, along with another Reds supporter. Last game Reds vs Tahs game I went to in Sydney wasn't pretty though, although the Reds did go on to win the title that year. Horwill and Genia are massive losses for the Reds, almost to the point that the Reds pack won't...

    For Sale: One Test 10

Don't agree. Some players have the vision and are facilitators, others are not. You will waste a good running outside back trying to make them into something they are not naturally. To continue your statement, Julian Savea is a huge running threat, he requires defenders' attention. If Savea...

    Reds 2014

There's a few holes in the backline depth now with Ioane, Morahan and Lance all gone. Morahan is the biggest shame from a Reds point of view, as if the Reds and Morahan had known that both Lance and Ioane were gone then Morahan may have stayed. No doubt the first choice initial starting...

    Western Force 2014

No Alby next season at the Force? He'd get a start ahead of Prior if he sticks around another year. Hopefully the Force manage to hold onto some of their current players and develop some depth. If Holmes plays like he did for the Brumbies in 2012 for the Force in 2014, then that backline...

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

I'd wager that Slipper won't be moving from THP anytime soon at the Reds, either. Reds LHPs: Holmes, Anae, Daley, of which Anae is the best scrummager in my opinion. Holmes can also play THP, but isn't great at it. Daley is, by far, the worst scrummager of the lot, but best around the field...

    Cheerio Deans

Deans definitely still has a lot to contribute to rugby. The big but is.....But, if he is ever to be a truly successful coach again, then he needs to drop some of his personality traits - the stubborness, the favourites (all coaches play favourites, but Deans takes it to a whole new level), the...

    Ewen McKenzie: Wallaby Coach

No doubt Deans was told it's over, and given the opportunity to resign (still with full payout) instead of be sacked. My wife has seen (and been told) plenty of stories of people who do bad/wrong things at work, and get justifiably sacked - and 9 times out of 10 these people "resign" before...

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

Regarding Cooper, he actually has defended in the line this year for a couple of games. I actually felt sorry for Link in this regard - he was still copping criticism for Cooper defending at fullback the day after one of the games in SA (the first one, I think, against the Cheetahs?) where...

    Rebels 2014

Don't think JOC (James O'Connor) has the vision even for a top league 5/8 though, but he may develop it.....maybe. Also doesn't have the short kicking game (that can be developed though), long kicking game would be good enough. Most of the top ball playing league 5/8s have the ability to still make those...

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

Disagree 100% that the alternatives had as many or more question marks. At 10? To'omua or Cooper were both much less controversial options than JOC (James O'Connor). Most of the opposition to Cooper comes from irrational Cooper hate or a more balanced view that Cooper makes too many errors for test football...

    Rebels 2014

It says something the Rebels prefer to try to keep Beale (maybe against the odds) than JOC (James O'Connor) who is not wanted elsewhere. Could be a few reasons - for example, maybe behind the scenes JOC (James O'Connor) is actually more trouble for team culture than Beale, or that the Rebels can only keep one, they need a 10...

    For Sale: One Test 10

Circle of Pain doesn't need two players, just one hitting hit shields suffices. Leg drive on the hit shields is required. Coach calls a number, player hits the shield, runs back to the centre, lies down. Rinse, repeat. Player must run at all times, and drive on each hit through the shield...

Wallabies - a changing of the guard

The easy answer to the question of which players will lose out, is to ask which players are Deans' favourites? And, which players are in Deans' bad books? I think that both McKenzie and White would have both Cooper and To'omua on the team, one starting, the other on the bench. EOYT (or...

Australia v British & Irish Lions, 3rd Test (Sydney)

You mean the only 15 to 20 minutes we were really on top in the game? Rarely do teams stay in control the entire 80. The Wallabies did well to put on 13 unanswered points before being blown off the park.....for the second time in the game. Fact is, the first 35 minutes happened, and the last...
