Thanks UTG. I was hoping for a more comprehensive stats list - but appreciate the reply. Regarding Ramm, there are a host of guys putting their hands up. Ramm is certainly one of them. It’s good to have some genuine competition for spots.

Can I ask what sites have good stats for Rugby AU. I am not having much luck finding any player stats.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

Rubbish - most posters on here acknowledge how good Nasirani has been, including the fans of Wilson. Suggesting that there is a ‘narrative’ out there that is unfairly diminishing Nasirani or talking up Wilson is wrong.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

If he doesn’t get the nod it’ll be because they are picking Nasirani on form/experience. The two young 10s aren’t ready - that shows in their play (not to mention Lolesio is injured). Wilson has shown no sign he isn’t physically and mentally ready to step up.

I agree generally Qwerty - although I’d probably have Samu bracketed pretty close. My only caveat is that I don’t know our lineout is strong enough with those two.

I just find Gordon has been inconsistent in the past and I’m not sure that he consistently plays well enough. At his best he’s a fine half. I always wondered if being chopped and changed with Phipps hurting his confidence and then he’s had injuries this year. With regards to Deegan I think it...

He had a shocker at the start of the year but he’s been pretty flawless since then as far as I can remember. He just has to make sure he hits and drives and doesn’t lift.

One thing I really like about Daugunu is how hard he chases the kick. Our kick chase is something I’ve felt has been really poor for a few years but he chases hard and looks to time his tackle. His tackling has gone from something of a weakness to a real strength. Uses his body height to really...

No probs. I’ve no doubt it’s hard to keep track at times.

Sorry KOB - I meant for the team I already posted on the previous page.

I agree - no stand out 13. Even Petaia was solid rather then spectacular. But Daugunu & Ramm deserves the wing spots and Petaia was better than any of the 13s IMO.

For the sake of Australian rugby - sure. But I’m pretty selfish bloke at heart. I’d rather the Brumbies & Rebels take the fall for the good of Australian rugby. :)

The good thing for me Dru is that we have the cattle to have a good lineout. Salakaia-Loto, Blyth & Wright give us 3 good primary targets and Wilson is an able 4 th target. And, whilst I don’t want to under play the level of detail required at professional level I do think having the cattle is a...

    Reds 2020

I’d be very keen to see this. As I see it the Reds have the defence, scrum and a good enough attack (which still needs work) to win the comp - but our lineout is a massive Achilles heel and there is every chance we miss out on the GF altogether if we can’t get it right. It really is a shame...

I like it. Gets the ball back in play and the attacking team still gets the ball back.

Super Rugby Au Round 7 - Reds v Rebels @ Suncorp Stadium, 7:15pm Sat 15 Aug

Pretty happy that we can use our 5th & 6th choice loose heads and still have a competitive scrum. Reds tight 5 depth has been severely tested but, whilst the step down in level is evident the guys that have stepped up have all been able to get the job done. The coaching staff would have to be...

Well - I enjoyed the game. Obviously easier to enjoy when your team wins but I thought the contest was very willing and both sides had pluses and minuses. Whatever the criticism of the Rebels attack, the defensive effort to keep them scoreless in the second half was sensational.
