Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

There's a few places we should be over them. I'd take our back three right now, especially with the inclusion of Kirchner. At this stage, I'd also take our ability to get the ball across the backs. I think that the first game vs the Argies was the exception as opposed to the norm, as I can't...

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

Kruidrani dropped off the bench after failing to make an impact is no real surprise. Mogg to the bench is also no surprise, with Cummins to the wing. Cummins will probably also be the back up 13. I suspect that Kepu is there to attempt to stabilise the scrums. Gill being dropped is maybe...

Is there anything you are not tired / pessimistic / don't complain about?

    Waratahs 2014

I'm finding the complete silence from the league journos about Folau's signing intriguing. Most of the league commentators believed all that they had to do was offer him a decent enough offer and naturally he'd come back to play the game everyone apparently prefers to play. It's almost as if...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

Hunt was OK for Biarritz, not great. Biarritz largely played 9 man rugby, led by the halfback, when Hunt was at 10. You didn't get to see much of what he could do other than tackle like a demon for the simple reason that they didn't really use him.

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

Nope, watch again. You are completely wrong on Mogg's effort. Start from 3:45 of Scott Allen's analysis. Mogg barely even touched him. (I won't link to it as it is no longer a G&GR analysis piece). That left JOC (James O'Connor) to cover. JOC (James O'Connor) saved a certain try, not Mogg. They then scored out on JOC (James O'Connor)'s wing...

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

I don't think that they had the quality of backs to thrash teams. They didn't have the attacking flair or spark required, outside of Robinson, and perhaps Greenwood a little bit. I'd say that many countries at the time had better backlines, including Australia and NZ, and Ireland and France...

    Western Force 2014

Alby would easily be at 9 ahead of Prior, he is a far superior halfback. Prior will be Alby's understudy. 13 is a big question mak with Rasolea, Stubbs, Delitt, Brache, Stanley all fighting it out with Stubbs. At this point, I don't think that Stubbs is in front of the others necessarily...

    Australian Rugby Development Centre

The Pascometer has an unerring ability to make a totally wrong call right before being proven totally wrong.....and of course, never admitting to it. Every now and then, though, he gets one right. I reckon that this is one of those times. I just hope that nothing comes along and proves him...

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

So I wasn't the only one who noticed how slow the Wallaby backs (in particular) and forwards (to a lesser extent) were to align? When you receive a kick, the team needs to work hard to get themselves behind the ball to provide options. There's little effort from the Wallaby players to get...

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

Penalties were interesting - Wallabies gave away 16, ABs just 8. Our problem is that our forwards don't compete the whole game. We are there in fits and spurts. The ABs wear it while we are competing, then blow us away when they get ascendancy. Our set piece went from being dominant last...

Well, the All Blacks were the better team and deserved to win. Peyper having an absolute shocker just makes it harder.

    Mogg needed to straigten. Argh.

New Zealand vs Australia - Bledisloe 2, 24th August 2013

Peyper just hasn't controlled this game, letting a team knock the ball out of a player's hand after a penalty is weak.

Moore off, he's had a pretty poor game. Genia off, same for him.

Sharpe showing his lack of mathematical skills as well.

Looks like Slade might come on. Shame he didn't start.

Pretty much. Right out in front of him, letting him run onto the ball. Perish the thought.

Sigh, another error from Mogg. He's not having a good couple of games.

Lucky there that Nonu kicked it out on the full, our lineout has been very average. Poor call to the back with a lock on Gill.
