Still think Naiyarovo will be lucky to start much, lovely going forward with a 10m run up, but a liability in defence (too many lazy arms thrown out) and a turning circle of an ocean liner

Quade was at his best when Link was coaching him and he could be in the pocket and let the forwards and the 9 grind (often around the corner as quickly as they could) until they got fast ball and a mismatch. He would then call for the ball and leverage the mismatch To play that style takes a...

I think the silence from both the QRU and Cooper suggests negotiations are ongoing, it it also quite possible that Cooper, at his age and experience, doesn't want to be brought into the squad as "cover"

It is interesting to see how this doesn't appear to be a consideration of other top coaches. I don't remember seeing Hanson, Henry, Gatland, Schmidt or Jones bothering about the kiddies twittering. Whilst I understand the theory, it could appear as much like your geriatric aunt wanting to friend...

Isn't that the reality? Most coaches know exactly who is playing where, it takes the challengers to take their minor chances and smash training to get a decent chance in the trails.

That was one of my biggest concerns in quoting him, but that doesn't make the comment incorrect, just in need of more confirmation

I thought this was an interesting comment for Greg Martin on the Fox site I hadn't seen it put like this and coach-ability being an issue

I wouldn't actually place Hanigan in a 2018 squad on 2017 form either, he was a place holder at best in 2017 and needs to do better. Only Hooper and Dempsey (and McMahon) showed enough in 2017

If Dempsey is fit, he deserves first shot. I expect Hooper & Pocock to start, there skills compliment eachother so the third backrower needs to be a lineout option as well. The smokey could be Valetini
