Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Exactly! They need to earn a spot first. Perform at super xv first then you can get game time with the wallabies. I don't think any of those guys apart from maybe Holloway (and that's only been one season) are clear standouts in super xv.

Interesting assessment. I thought he was added to the squad quite early. I hope your right, I really am quite impressed by his skillset - reminds me a lot like Kefu.

I'm up for it. Always happy to be proven wrong Scrubber. Just remember you said "far far superior" so he better double Poey's runs metres. Yes he is strong for his size. He will win the collision battle with a player the same size as him 9 times out of 10. But there is only so much...

McMahon's ball running is far far exaggerated at test level.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

I doubt we will see Houston. His NH form earned him a shot in the training squad but he didn't even make it passed the first cull. Despite offing a totally different skill-set to the other 8's, like you mentioned, and this gave him a significant point of difference, BUT he still didn't make it...

I cant believe this is Slippers 76th cap. And I still don't think he's peaked as a player yet. Well done to him.

    A block-busting ball runner.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

He is certainly the "style" of 8 I'd prefer. But I would never pick a player if they don't deserve it, they need to put in consistent super xv performances first to warrant selection. I'm not sure he has shown enough. So realistically I see the only options as McCalman, Palu - as they are...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

He was 'unleashed' last week against a tiring opposition with no impact at all. I'm not sure why we expect him to suddenly have more impact against fresh opposition. McMahon is a disappointing choice for me. I expect the English to target him in contact and try and hold him up and/or go for a...

So who kicks goals, Lilo or Foley? They are both pretty bad.

    Brumbies 2016

2015 too. Hope this rest does him well and he can fully recover to where he was in 2013/14.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Exactly. All i see in the news and in forums is how Sio was unfairly treated. I'd be very curious if the ref's who reviewed the game thought they made the wrong call and if other rugby minds who aren't Australian feel the same. What's England's point of view on this.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Added to the problem is the person he's passing too is a poor kicker. Foley the main man - I think his distance has gotten a lot better but certainly hasn't been great in the past. I would say he is a fairly average general play kicker. Compare this to the Brumbies last year who had Mogg, and...

    Great news

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

You hit the nail on the head. To be fair it's been a while since we actually had a player who can catch a high ball and nullify attacking bombs -Folau. So we finally figured out how to catch the ball, now we just have to figure out what to do with it once we catch it, its totally foreign to us.

    Brumbies 2016

I wish their was a dislike button. At least he will be good for the Rugby Championship. I doubt the Brum will make it that far.

    Brumbies 2016

I think Pocock was only ruled out 3-4 weeks. So he could be back for 1 or 2 games and the finals (if we make it).

I agree. Although I can see Cheika's reasoning behind Horne, there were already 3 debutants in the squad (mostly forced due to injuries) and it was necessary to have a mix of experience and youth. Same as above. Too risky to bring in another rookie (at least for the first test). Although I...

I'm not a fan of Horne either. I'd have either Tomane, Speight, Mitchell, JOC (James O'Connor) , AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and now DHP ahead of him. But when you say not in the top 2 wingers available, who else is there avaliable? I doubt Naya or Nubili is a better option, Morahan the only one I would consider ready for test rugby.

Sounds like he passed the test following the game then. I'm not sure what the rules are but most articles in the news specify he is a possibility to play. I'm betting he will be in the starting team.
