What was wrong with the defensive system? They scored 2 tries off the back of two dominant scrums. England had no other opportunities to speak of. Their defensive system worked well IMO.

I'm surprised by the omission of Genia. Not outraged or disappointed, just surprised.

Yep, you are right about Cooper starting 10 v the baas, and that they are an easier assignment than most Test matches. However,I don't think you have taken into account that our 2 starting props who are grades above their replacements, did not start. The captain who is judged one of our better...

If the Gov gifted those clubs the money, without conditions, yes that would work. Imagine the clusterfuck if they did do that, especially if some of the clubs decided they would prefer to use their $70 odd mill on other things. It would be interesting though!

It's obvious that Foley is up to it. It's not yet obvious he is undoubtedly the best option. So on that basis,I would have liked a different selection in at least one of the tests. Apart from 10,I reckon only spot in the backline under contention is on the wing.

    The Pulverisation of Australian Rugby

I heard Brett Papworth on the radio yesterday on this very point. He was saying that the only people with any voice in the game, are the ones that are ripping all the cash out of it. What is the point of the professional game? Is it to foster development? Because if it is,it is failing. If it is...

True, but the Soup franchises wear the lions share of player costs. What would be the total salaries for everyone who wore a Gold jumper last year? How much of this were ARU top ups?

I'm not so sure the ARU props up Soup. They get a fucking big chq for TV rights for the soup comp and pass it on to each franchise after clipping the ticket.

Cuts? That is very cynical. Efficiency dividends are good things!

But the part of the game that has lived beyond its means continues unabated, whilst the grassroots is faced with levies instead of distributions. I don't believe the game would cease to exist sans Wallabies. Yeah, juniors would probably reduce without a National team to support,or emulate,but...

    Georgina Robinson is..

Really? Unless she was responsible for selections, tactics and discipline I think you are way wrong. The coach resigns, admitting he had lost the dressing room, and people want to blame a reporter for airing problems from within as the reason why the coach quit?

Kick it deep from the kickoff after they have kicked another penalty goal?

I thought going into this tour, that 10 was one of the most contestable positions. Add the fact that it is one of the more influential roles within the team,I assumed that a few options would be explored over the course if the tour. Instead we have seen one player, who has not excelled in each...

True, which makes it even more galling that the ARU have structured the compulsory insurance levy, that everyone accepts has very little practical worth, into a process that will be a barrier to participation.

Yeah, but signing a rego form before you run out to help out a team struggling for numbers is a no brainer. Having to stump up insurance money before you run out,is a deal breaker.

Lucky, you did it on the cricket field. The existence of injured playing funds, is testament to the comprehensive nature of insurance policies in Rugby.

Define "covered" If you are insured, and break a leg or do an ACL, you are out of pocket by thousands in medical fees, and then lost wages.

Let's see what he does, this one is not a Pulver fuckup,it's an Abbott thing. To be fair to Pulver I thought he did a great job getting Foxtel to actually pay them to televise the NRC. Who knows, maybe ch 10 will pick it up,and it will the best thing ever.
