ARU fee structure change for 2015

It's only illogical if you have any understanding of the impact these decisions will have. From a bean counters view,or looking at things through org charts, these changes make perfect sense. If only the ARU were selling widgets, instead of fostering junior/grassroots development, everything would...

ARU fee structure change for 2015

I'm very happy with the concept of the NRC,but apart from securing both cash and coverage from Foxtel. The implementation has been poor IMO. Let's just remember that entities had to express their interest in a competition, with details as to number of teams etc still to be decided. The fact that...

ARU fee structure change for 2015

If they had a positive attitude towards engaging people, you wouldn't need to donate funds. It's like they have been to a Joe Hockey seminar about lifters and leaners. The problem I have with the ARU,is I don't consider the grass roots as leaners if they are not self sufficient. I consider them...

ARU fee structure change for 2015

If the NSWRU muscled up, I would be more than happy to donate into a fund to replace the ARU grant. I would much prefer them to risk going down in a blaze of glory, than die a death of a thousand cuts.

ARU fee structure change for 2015

Why will it have to be paid? If clubs or organisations can get their own insurance cover on the same terms as previous years, then if they choose to ignore this new process what can the ARU do?

    Super Rugby 10's tournament

How much revenue will actually be received by the participating franchises? If there is to be $2M in prizemoney, more than likely the winners will receive $500k give or take. Which is a nice pick up,but not really that substantial when taking into account the annual turnover of each franchise...

Yeah, they decided to go with the Shiraz,in preference to the cab sav........

Great photos! Can you tell me what level you were on,and whether you would recommend those seats? I'm currently weighing up my options for next year, and can get tickets behind the posts or a ridiculously expensive hospitality package. Cheers.

    Two step passing scrumhalves

I can live with Genia putting in a couple of steps before he passes. It's the meerkating that I dislike.

ARU fee structure change for 2015

This is exactly why this new initiative is so mind boggling. You don't need to be a committee member of a grass roots club to understand how this will gut most clubs. You merely have to attended a lower grade grass roots game to understand in most cases the coach's job is more about dragging in...

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

I know several young men that coached younger age groups for a variety of Schools,in their final year,or in their first years after School. Some were paid, some were not,but none of them had any qualifications ,and none were ever asked if they had them.

    Shute Shield 2015

No, not just because of the new coach, although I think it's a big part of it. They have lost a few key players, and I think they are due for a generational change in players. Invariably when you are relying on a host of newcomers to 1st grade, consistency is an issue. Not saying the young bucks...

No,I predict they will struggle to make the semi's.

    Pocock Arrested

He should definitely talk to those guys for a bit of advice. Plenty of experience with dealing with the local courts in that group.

    Pocock Arrested

No he can't trespass wherever he wants. This time no conviction will be recorded, but if he keeps doing it he will get convicted. This can impact visa approvals in many countries. Your not worth much to anyone as an international footballer,if you can't get a visa.

I prefer a Rugby analogy ....it's like he is going into this ruck after the ball is out. There are plenty of rucks where he can contest possession. But hey,it's his time,he can fight whatever battles he chooses. I just reserve the right not to be in awe of empty gestures.

Any more naive than protesting on a site nearly a year after the fight in the courts was lost? The mining co has spent a couple of hundgee mill since then. This particular fight is well over. He should pick another site to battle over, where he might have a chance of influencing outcomes.

Some time? He's had the job a month! You wouldn't expect him to take the job,and immediately pot some of the squad would you?

You are not suggesting the scrum was fine until Skelton came on are you?
